Hochatown has some great restaurants to choose from, but they do require a bit of planning to avoid frustration. Remember, you’re in the country and the slogan, “Living on Hochatime” rings true. Everything moves a little slower out there, so adopt the Hochatime attitude, plan accordingly and you will be a happy camper.

MOUNTAIN FORK BREWERY- Pizza, burgers, salads, and wings, and of course lots of beer options there˼ They get crowded fast and don’t take reservations so go early or bring your patience˼ They have an awesome patio with games and a playground. BEAVERS BEND STATE PARK NOW REQUIRES DAY PARKING PASS. However, if you try to follow the instructions once you get into the park you may have difficulty getting service. We recommend you register your license plate before heading out to the park. 

For the latest information and guides we recommend the All Trails app. There are 12 great public hikes listed on the app. For first timers, we recommend the Friends Trail. This is a moderate level hike with a beautiful view of the river.

Jane and Greg enjoy traveling the world, experiencing the people, culture and traditions. Originally from Michigan, now in Dallas; but missing the forest and lakes from home. We went to Broken Bow and were blown away by how beautiful the area was and decided to purchase a relaxing cabin to share with our kids, grandkids, family, friends, and guests. The location is close to everyting you should need, so bring your family and friends, slow down and enjoy the area.
