Check in is 4 pm and during the summer and unfortunately, we simply cannot allow early check-in because it takes our housekeepers every possible moment to prepare for your arrival after guests leave at 10:00. If you are staying with us during fall or winter months, we will do our best to accommodate special requests with regard to check-in.

The morning of your arrival, we will send you a text with a four digit code. The code is generated just for you and your family, and will expire at 10 am on the day of your departure.

This next item on the list can be stinky---and we are sorry, but we simply must address it! Trash pick up is on Tuesday. Because we rent via a "direct booking" site, we don't have a typical property manager, which means we must depend on our guests to pull the trash and recycle bin to the road on Monday evenings. If our guests don't pull the trash to the road, it can be a disaster for the next guest, so we would be grateful if you'd set a reminder on your phone for Monday evening. We will also send you a reminder Monday morning just to be safe. We are grateful for your help with this!

There have been two occasions when my family has been on vacation and the air conditioning went out. In both situations, the owners of the properties did their best to have the situations corrected in a timely manner, but in one instance, it was the week of Independence Day, and it took a repairmen three days to make it out. Suffice it to say, it made vacation a little more challenging. The HVAC unit at Above and Beyond is in good working order, but the relentless heat of the summer really can be incredibly hard on HVAC units....SO, we respectfully ask that you keep windows and doors closed when the air is on. If windows/doors are opened while the air is on, the HVAC unit must work harder to try to cool the space and eventually it won't be able to keep up! In the event of an HVAC outage, we are at the mercy of a repairman, and with COVID things have been moving especially slow....so please help us out by being as gentle as possible with the HVAC.

During the summer months, my family doesn't have the opportunity to visit Above and Beyond so we don't always know if something stops working or if a faucet might be leaking...so please let us know if you notice an issue so we can address it as quickly as possible.
