We enjoyed a fantastic long weekend at Billy's central condo. Billy greeted us upon arrival, ready with answers to all of our questions about the area. He knows it well, so don't be afraid to ask, it will save you some anxiety, and wasted time. We came during the off season, so we had the area to ourselves, and it was as if he prepared everything especially for us...we had a freshly filled and clean hot tub just outside, that was wonderful to relax in, after long days working, and lovely drives meandering through the Monongahela Forest. He guided us to several scenic routes that we would not have found on our own. We loved it. The condo/cabin had all we needed for a relaxing getaway. We prepared well for being away from everything, by bringing lots of food with us, and had everything we needed at our fingertips for cooking-in, every day. The charcoal grill was great too! My husband is tall, so the loft bedroom was a little back bending for him, but who goes to a cabin to walk around in the bedroom? There is no cable, but there is Netflix and HBOGO, we also prepared well with lots of DVD movies ourselves. Nice break from the news! We would love to return in the future! I normally leave a note in the cabin, so a suggestion for Billy, is to have a note pad or chalk board handy for us old school noters. Other than that, all else was perfect! Thank you Billy for being a great host to us!

I booked for the MSM vibe and the hot tub, and we hope to go back for so many reasons. This was a family week-end in January. The host thought of everything from the truly comfortable beds to the well equipped kitchen and bathrooms. We especially loved the fireplace and the fact that the long dining room table was big enough for five of us to eat at one end and work a 1,000 piece puzzle at the other end. There was ample seating in the living room too.We also loved watching the sunrise on the horizon plus the lovely and quiet neighborhood. Berkeley Springs is just a few miles NE -- we wished we'd book spa time, because they all the slots were taken when we checked on Saturday afternoon.The host has communication nailed down. The property instructions were easy to understand and well-timed. Great stay!

Anna's cabin in Berkeley Springs, WV was the perfect location for a short, winter getaway! The cabin was exactly as advertised in the listing, and Anna was a communicative, helpful host. On top of being very comfortable, the design of the cabin was quite nice, too, and the location was very peaceful. While it did get quite cold in the below freezing weather, there were plenty of blankets around to keep warm and the hot tub was a fantastic bonus!

This dog-friendly house is perfect for families and has plenty of space. The location is in a semi-secluded wooded area with a partial western view of the mountains in a quiet neighborhood. It is a 5 to 10 min walk on a flat, paved road to Cupp Run and Shay’s Revenge and the free shuttle picks up promptly at the top of the driveway and takes you to the resort. Our average wait for the shuttle was 5 to 10 minutes. This house is not walkable to Snowshoe Village or Silver Creek but is a short, 10 to 15 minute drive or shuttle ride to both. The driveway is somewhat steep and is not paved (it is gravel) which is typical for houses on Westridge Drive but could be a challenge in the snow without an AWD or 4WD vehicle. There is space for several vehicles (our group had three) in the parking area next to the house which is flat and also gravel. There are 4 or 5 steps down from the parking area to the house and no stairs to access the main (middle) floor. Over-all, we enjoyed this house.

We had such a wonderful experience at this house. I have been coming to Canaan Valley with my family for many years, but this was the first time I came with a group of friends to celebrate my 30th. The night my fiance and I arrived, a snowstorm blew in and dumped 15 inches of snow overnight. It made for some hairy driving for our friends the next day, but they all arrived safely (we had initially planned for 14 people to stay and ended up with only 8 due to COVID, but the house would have easily slept 14 comfortably. The snow as absolutely beautiful and made for wonderful skiing conditions the next day. This house was a great location because ti is close to the main road (though still sheltered and private) and is on relatively flat ground, and though we didn't partake, there were some epic sledding hills nearby! A note for folks without four wheel drive: there is a slight downhill when you turn into the neighborhood, which was a bit challenging when roads were covered in snow. Plows came through several times which was hugely helpful, and by the time we left Sunday morning we were blessed with warmer temps and rain so everyone could get out easily. The house itself was absolutely beautiful, and well-appointed with supplies, especially the kitchen. The hot tub with the snow falling was a dream come true! Colleen was very responsive and helpful, and the instructions provided were clear. The only problem we encountered was not being able to locate the remote for the living room TV - very minor, and we simply moved downstairs to the beautiful rec room to watch the game. I'd highly recommend this house to families or groups of friends, there is plenty of space and privacy but the house still manages to feel cozy. We were also toasty warm despite the negative temps outside! While we were there in the winter, I think this house would also be spectacular in the summertime and hope to be back someday. This was our first time using VRBO, and this property set the bar high for future stays! The owners anticipated all of our needs and more. You will not be disappointed if you stay here. The only issue we had was with check-in. We were supposed to receive the door code a few hours prior to our 4:00PM check-in. As we got closer to Snowshoe, my cell service disappeared before I received the code. We arrived at the property during a torrential downpour (still with no cell service), where I was able to log in to the WiFi while sitting on the covered porch. I sent a message to the property manager who responded within 10 minutes. On a side note, while waiting for the reply, we went to The Pizza Slice for dinner & would highly recommend it. (On another side note, we found out why there’s no cell service. This area is an intentional quiet zone due to the nearby Greenbank Telescope.)

I traveled with my three teen/young adult children. We absolutely loved the property, beautiful clean home, had everything we needed. Wonderful fire pit and hot tub we enjoyed each evening. We wanted to visit Shenandoah National Park and hike was a little further drive than I expected but worked out well. Not much else around. Small grocery with limited options- my son is vegetarian and I would have planned a bit better for meal prep had I known how small the grocery store was. Host was helpful, very responsive.

Let me start by saying I am what most would call a “perfectionist”. Timbers 5 is everything the listing states. It is clean, well stocked, well kept, has great furnishings and appliances. I am the mom/wife who cleans each place my family stays before we ever unpack. While I still took the time to do this, I was pleasantly surprised while doing so. Timbers 5 was very inviting! Only a little trouble with entry as there are two keypads, but we were answered quickly with an email to the host. A few minor issues with lights, but not enough of an issue to give our stay at Timbers 5 any less than 5 stars. Courtesy shuttle to and from the village made it all the more convenient! My family and I had a great time and will definitely make Timbers 5 our “go to” for any future stays at Snowshoe!
