Charlotte vacation rentals

Once a year my family of five adult children fly in from where ever they live at the time to spend one week together relaxing and forgetting the outside world exists. Camm's Retreat was exactly what we were looking for. The home is fantastic and the lake made it absolute perfection. The house has an excellent floor plan for a large group to come together for dinner, games, etc., and the kitchen is very well stocked. However, our favorite part of the home was the outside areas. The large back porch with ample seating allowed for many wonderful nights. The swim dock was excellent for early morning yoga. The covered gazebo at the end of the dock provided much needed shade from the hot afternoon sun. My only complaint about the home would be maybe a few more towels, but after everything else, that seems very minor. Lake Wylie, even on 4th of July weekend, was amazing. It was large, quiet, peaceful and allowed us to do almost everything we were hoping to do (couldn't rent jet skis on this lake.) We rented the pontoon boat offered by the owner of the property and between that, kayaking, tubing and finding a secluded part of the lake to anchor the boat, put on our life jackets and float for a couple of hours, we couldn't have asked for anything better. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Camm's Retreat for families who enjoy a quiet, relaxing vacation. Charlotte isn't particularly the most exciting town, but if you need a little adventure, a day trip to the US National Whitewater Center is more than worth the price of admission. The management staff was excellent, responding to any needs or questions almost immediately! Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better trip and will definitely be returning.

We were here for 5 days this summer with our two kids, and it was perfect! Huge back yard to kick the ball around, and lots of games to keep them entertained when the weather didn’t cooperate. Highlight of the home is the kitchen. Big and spacious, we made meals for the kids AND managed a little WFH at the kitchen counter. Three bedrooms also helped! The kids and adults had separate bathrooms, and the toddler could nap while his older brother played in another room, or one of their parents took a call. Space for everyone to do what they needed, and a big room to gather together for games and meals. The home is GORGEOUS, inside and out. I’ve stayed at some short-term home stays where decor feels like an afterthought and the art is whatever the host had lying around in the basement. Melissa did a spectacular job making the house look good, but always ready for kids and pets. It feels like a home — not a hotel, or a dorm! The neighborhood is amazing. Beautiful homes, very walkable, tons of amenities. Town vibes in the middle of a major city. Lots of folks walking their dogs and kids of all ages. The light rail is right there to get you downtown — between that and ride share apps, you can leave your car parked in the driveway for your whole stay.

We really enjoyed our stay, really the property and super comfortable, everything was excellent, we would choose it again.

Daivd & Lacey's home is absolutely breathtaking. It is the perfect spot for a family vacation, a birthday weekend getaway, a tranquil retreat, or even a business trip with a view (although the wifi is limited). Aesthetically, it is beautiful; fancy yet rustic, and fitting for the lake, but also cozy. We felt at home! The first night in the home, we ordered pizza from Enrico's (a suggestions by the hosts), and we found it delicious. We were able to catch one of those sunsets! The next day, we made all our meals in the home, but we did rent a pontoon from Lake Wylie boat rental in Belmont, NC (it's a family owned business). The last day, we spent more time floating in the water, then stopped for dinner at Papa Doc's (lake side bar) before going home to bonfire and make s'mores. We could not have imagined a more perfect getaway weekend. We did leave some suggestions for the hosts and within the next hour after checking out, David & Lacey responded with updates. They took all our suggestions to heart, and it made us all the more excited to return again some day!

This place was exactly what it shows. So comfortable like home away from home. My family and I really enjoyed it. Jason made sure we had everything we needed plus. Not to mentioned it’s in the perfect neighborhood. Quiet even with construction behind it. Plus it’s close to everything. Food Shops bars and all. Will definitely look for this when returning.

We had a great stay here, house was exactly like the pictures. Owner was easily reachable and responds quickly as well. Our kids enjoyed playing in the fenced back yard. We would stay there again in the future.

I would definitely stay in this location again. Erin was extremely responsive to all communication. The day of check in, she let us know the unit was available before the normal check in time and we could enter anytime we wanted. The unit was exactly as described. Beds were comfortable and each bedroom had it's own private full bathroom in addition to the 1/2 bath on the main level which was great for the 3 couples traveling in our party. The unit was close to the airport so we were able to pickup and drop off the couple that flew in to join us very easily. The light rail stop was accessible if you didn't mind a short walk. Since we had a larger SUV, the garage was a challenge to make the turn but street parking was very near by and well lit. A small SUV/car would fit fine in the garage. We loved the rooftop patio and spent several evenings up there around the fire pit table. Far enough away from the city to be quiet but close enough to get to everything in a few minutes.

I could literally write a book about this beautiful listing and the amazing host, Erin! My family was looking for a last minute place to celebrate Thanksgiving together and the Birdsong Bungalow came at the perfect time! The home so beautiful, clean, and nothing was out of place. It literally felt like our home away from home and Erin made sure we had everything we needed. I could tell that every detail was picked out with love. I’m always so hesitant when it comes to picking the perfect Airbnb and this one did not disappoint. I’m so grateful for this amazing experience and I cannot wait to book again!
