Arturs Knob E Mitchell County between Snow Creek and Bear Creek. Alt. 3,695. Named for Arthur ("Artur") McFalls (died 1839), who fought as a Tory at the Battle of Kings Mountain in 1780 but afterward joined the Americans. He lived alone for many years on the mountain. Sometimes erroneously called Otters Knob.
