When you enter the gates at the resort, the left lane is to check in. (It is the only way through the resort so there is no way to miss it). You will stop there to let security know which unit you are staying in, your name, and the date you will be departing. They will issue you a free parking pass that needs to be displayed in your vehicle as well as a code that you will enter each time you enter the resort.
The distance from the gate to the beach is quite a walk, follow the signs to your building... as close to the beach as you can get.
