There are many beautiful beaches in the area. Here are some of our favorites within a 25 minute drive:
Sachuest Beach, locally known as Second Beach, is a South facing, mile long, family friendly beach with good surf and great sand. There is a concession stand, bathrooms, changing area, showers, grills, picnic tables and shade structures located at the main building. Port-a-johns are located at the base of each pathway.
The Goosewing Beach Preserve is a magnificent system of pristine coastal pond, beach and dune environments. This is one of Rhode Island's most scenic spots and a favorite among visitors.
Third Beach is a beautiful, family friendly East facing beach. Third Beach has less waves and overlooks Third Beach Harbor located near the mouth of the Sakonnet River. There are grills, picnic tables and a shade structure located near the boat ramp. Port-a-johns are located in the parking lots.
Easton's Beach, located on Memorial Boulevard at the start of the Cliff Walk, is a 3/4 mile long surf beach with a board walk. Come relax and play in our beautiful white sand ocean beach- surf the waves, ride our beautiful 1950's carousel, visit Save the Bay Exploration Center and Aquarium, or get married at a gorgeous beach front ceremony location and celebrate in our newly refurbished ballroom.

Localz is a great neighborhood restaurant just a short walk away from the house. They have delicious 3 course specials for $17 on Wednesday nights! They have great, fresh seafood. We sometimes just sit out on the scenic patio on weekend afternoons for cocktails and appetizers. They also have excellent curb side takeout service.
