Indiana vacation rentals

We stayed at this pretty home over the 4th of July, there were 3 generations of us who stayed in the home. Unfortunately, there was a power outage and one of the large maple trees got struck by lightning a couple nights prior to our stay. But the owner Clint kept us very informed of all of this and was concerned about our safety as more bad storms were predicted to come through. Thankfully, none were bad and we were able to enjoy our stay without losing power. This place has comfortable bedding, loads of games on sight, like pool, foosball, board games, and a nice selection of DVDs for family movie night. We made use of the fire pit area for smores, we laughed around the dining table playing card games. Our dog even found a comfortable place to rest in the lower level small basement area. I can't rate this place highly enough, everything was so wonderful from the communication with Clint prior to the trip, to our final day there. You will not find a more well appointed kitchen in any other VRBO. They even allow you a day pass to Turkey Run SP so you don't have to pay at the gate to hike. Just wonderful, hope to be back some day!

Such a beautiful home in a beautiful neighborhood! The house is designed comfort in mind and each bedroom styled beautifully! As soon as we walked in, we were in awe of the design of the home and how spacious it was. I absolutely loved the coffee/pancake station. It was such a shame that we could not stay longer to fully enjoy all that this home has to offer! Our host, Mary Katherine was also very friendly and responds very quickly to all our questions!! 10 out of 10, would recommend!

This lake house is not a cottage BUT a home away from home. From the moment that you walk in the door, you see the care that has been taken to clean and decorate the space. The kitchen is designed well for a family. Everything you could possibly need is available. The laundry room off the kitchen also provided great storage. The great room is a comfortable spot. It also has two single beds on each side of the fireplace. They are the perfect place for kids to read or relax. Beach towels near the deck door were appreciated. The beds in the guest rooms were comfortable and all had additional pillows. The 1.5 baths made it convenient for a family. The outdoor space is truly amazing. The yard has many mature trees for shade and the view of the lake at sunset is perfect. The dock is just steps below. We were able to rent a pontoon for the whole trip and dock it at the end. The kids loved swimming off the dock since the water is crystal clear. If you get a boat the middle of the lake has a shallow sandy swimming area surrounded by lily pads. The perfect way to end each night was at the large fire pit. This listing is perfect for a relaxing trip with your family. You will enjoy the comfort, convenience, and beauty of this HOME.

The Book Haven was the perfect place to stay an extended weekend in Madison. The whole house was cozy and charming and its walking distance to everything in town. I’d stay again in a heartbeat!

1/8/24 through 3/29/24 Upon arriving at my new residence for the next three months, I was first impressed with its location, surrounded by water, I knew I was would be living in a vacation community. The home very clean & roomy, but a feeling that I was at home. I enjoyed the view of the water & abundant wildlife in the area, deer, squirrels, rabbits, and occasional flocks of wild turkeys can be seen & enjoyed. The hosts Karen & Wayne, lovely people, ensured that I enjoyed every minute of my stay. I loved the kitchen, for I enjoy cooking, and spent much of Sunday preparing my meals for the week. Many good places to eat & my favorite is the Riverside restaurant and lounge. Its been around since the 40s or 50s, located on the river, has good service, food & atmosphere second to none. I would give my stay here two thumbs up and a big toe.

This home was like stepping back in time but with everything you need for a relaxing beach vacation. We were able to walk to a coffee shop, restaurants were a short drive, the kitchen was well equipped for preparing meals and the scenery was beautiful. Hope to return again.

It's a great space. Super clean, large master bedroom, bright kitchen and living room, nice deck. It's a great location. Easy walk to Washington Park and the beach. 10-minute bike ride (two miles) to downtown restaurants, with closer options available. Quiet street. We had a small issue on arrival (our fault). We entered the keypad code to unlock the door but didn't hit the unlock button. Our host, who lives nearby, immediately responded to a text and headed over to help. We figured it out before she arrived. She took it in stride, even laughed about it.

Definitely a stay to remember! Close to state and local parks. The space was so welcoming and had everything we needed. Kevin was a more than generous host, the beautiful space he has really sets you for a relaxing stay! Highly recommend booking with him!
