Louisiana vacation rentals

As first-time travelers to New Orleans, this was the perfect base camp for our adventures and exploration. The house is well appointed, clean, and comfortable, a preserved shotgun-style historic home. The neighborhood seemed a little gritty when we arrived, but that was a fleeting impression, as everyone we met were friendly and outgoing, and homes are well-maintained. In hindsight, the house is perfectly located away from the madness that happens in the French Quarter, but not so far away that you can't walk there (if the humidity allows). We explored the area and were delighted to find amazing BBQ (The Joint), live music (Vaughn's), local seafood (Jack Dempsey's) all within a short walk. We didn't find any large grocery stores nearby, but there are well-stocked corner stores in every direction. Crescent Park is a fascinating walking route to the French Quarter, along the Mississippi River. There's plenty of on-street parking and never did we feel unsafe walking about, at any hour. The owner's, Cathy and Tony, were a delight to meet, and they are restoring the adjoining half of the historic home. We felt welcomed and valued as guests in their beautiful house. We would stay here again, in a heartbeat.

The home is adorable and the beautifully painted brick pops out the second you drive up. There’s an abundance of toiletries, towels, bedding and household supplies on hand. The Airbnb pics well represent an attractive, comfortable, clean and well kept home. Plenty of street parking directly in front of the house. There is more than the French Quarter to be experienced in New Orleans. Bywater is a great neighborhood to venture out in. Great restaurants, charming homes, eclectic group of residents. Our stay in Natchitoches was made wonderful by the cute little bungalow that we rented. The location can’t be beat just steps away from the quaint little Riverside shopping area. The decor was spot on, so unique and interesting and perfect for the age of the home. Janice our host Was so gracious and communicated clearly with us. You won’t regret staying here.

The Hosts are good people and were very accommodating! They responded quick and provided what I needed in the kitchen so quick. The house is in a very nice area, I felt super safe, and the moment I stepped into the very clean house & felt like I was home! By far this vrbo home is number one on my list. There were travel toiletries available, snacks, soda/water, & a nicely stocked Keurig coffee pot! The best part besides all this was the fact that the yard was fenced in for my service dogs & ever a pooper scooper to help pick up! I highly recommend this spot

The Cane River Living Speakeasy was a wonderful stay for our annual office retreat! As soon as we walked through the door we were pleasantly surprised by the food Janice provided for us. The photos do not do the place justice! It’s a gorgeous home and it made for a very comfortable and fun stay. We appreciated the bibles provided in the rooms that are the same version I read! The beds were very comfortable, the house was perfect for our needs and it is walkable to Front street where we attended the Jazz Festival! Janice was very attentive and when one of us forgot our phone at check out she extended the door code so we could come back and grab it. We were very grateful for that! All in all would definitely stay here again!

A great little home for a group looking to stay between The French Quarter and Mid-City. Christine was very communicative and attentive, making sure our check-in went smoothly. The house is a classic shotgun layout with all we needed and a few little thoughtful touches courtesy of Christine. Willie Mae's is right around the corner, which is a great cultural/culinary landmark I'd recommend hitting as soon as you arrive. There are a couple other popular lunch and dinner spots nearby, but we didn't get a chance to check them out. Everyone we encountered in the neighborhood was friendly, but we spent most of our time exploring elsewhere. A Lyft to either downtown or mid-city was usually around $8, but the trolly on Canal was only a few blocks away, and paying via the RTA app is quite simple and cheap. A couple nights we walked the 25-30 minutes home from the French Quarter along Orleans Ave without issue. Christine lives next door and is very attentive should you need anything, but we had no real needs beyond what was already there. We had a great stay and left totally satisfied, having been able to appreciate many different parts of New Orleans at a great value. Would be happy to return on our next trip!

Mary, our guys enjoyed staying in your house and I do apologize for the mess that was left and the lack of communication about check out. I'm in Ms and I didn't realize that all this was going on at the time however, I know I am ultimately responsible. We are speaking with our guys about this this morning and they will be reimbursing us via their payroll check for the extra charges. Again I do apologize and I am so embarrassed.
