HISTORIC CHARM:
The 1827 House is on the historical register and famously served as the village general store and Post Office! It has been beautifully renovated with modern amenities while keeping its historic soul.

FIRST FLOOR APARTMENT:
Features a fully equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar, an in-unit laundry closet, a mudroom, and a beautifully spacious open Great Room with a large sectional sofa, electric fireplace, and a Frame TV.

BEDROOMS & EXTRA BEDS:

Bedroom 1: Features a comfortable King-size bed.

Bedroom 2: A cozy second bedroom featuring a comfortable Full-size bed.

Extra Bedding: We also provide a roll-away bed (fits nicely in the Great Room), a new Queen-size air mattress, and a pack-and-play for families!

BATHROOMS:
Features a convenient half-bath (toilet room) and a completely separate luxury shower room with radiant heated floors and a heated towel rack.

Step right outside onto the village sidewalks to enjoy the fresh Vermont summer air and easy walkability!

Guest access
You have exclusive access to the entire first floor, which is completely separated from the upstairs unit by a locked vestibule door for your privacy.

The 1827 House is located directly on RT100 with easy, level access and dedicated parking right outside. Our parking lot conveniently connects right with the West Dover Inn and the 1846 Tavern lot.

📍 THE PERFECT VILLAGE LOCATION:
Leave your car behind! You are in a prime, highly walkable spot in the heart of the village. Step onto the sidewalks to easily walk to:

* Local dining and spots (1846 Tavern, The Sawmill Inn, Saloon, Pizzeria)

* Miles and miles of scenic hiking and biking trails

🌲 EXPLORING THE VALLEY:
If you want to venture further out, you are just a 5-minute drive to the main Mt. Snow resort area, 10 minutes to Haystack Golf Course, 6 miles to downtown Wilmington, and 20 minutes to Stratton.

Other things to note
This is an old building with a ton of character and history! Most floors are not level and rooms might not be square. The house has been beautifully renovated with modern amenities to provide a warm, inviting, and memorable stay.

GOOD TO KNOW:

🔊 ROAD & EVENT NOISE: We are directly on RT100, so please expect some road noise. Music from weddings across the street or local music festivals can sometimes be heard, though the town gets very quiet after 10 PM.

🚪 HOUSE LAYOUT & PRIVACY: You have entire access to the first floor. The upstairs unit is separated by a locked vestibule door. Sound can travel between the units in this historic home, so we kindly ask all guests to respect quiet hours when the upstairs is occupied.

🗝️ VT ADVENTURE CHALLENGE: Our house is part of the challenge! You will see an old safe out by the garage where adventurers may be exploring.

💻 MODERN COMFORTS: High-speed fiber internet is available throughout via a nested system (includes a monitor to connect your laptop for workcations). We also provide coffee to start your day!

🛡️ SECURITY: A security camera floodlight is present at the rear entrance/garage area facing the parking lot.
