Sunset Beach Lakefront Chalet-Hot Tub Kayaks WiFi
My family ( 11 / 11 / 10 / 8 ) and I just returned from this home. John and Dorene were wonderful hosts and made sure our stay was top notch. The home has everything we needed including two kayaks, paddle boat, grill, firepit and a kitchen with all we needed. It is a great location in the Association with just a quick walk to the community pool. The location in gaylord is great as well with an hour and a half trip to Mackinac, two hours to Sleeping Bear Dunes and 40 minutes to Petoskey. We mixed a few day trips into our week and spent the remainder relaxing at the house at the beach or in the hot tub. My kids loved it and were worn out by the end of the day. We purchased the WIFI for the week @ $8 because Sprint does not get service here. When asked if the kids would like to come back to this home the answer was a resounding YES ! Enjoy and thanks for a great week. The White Family- South Lyon, MI
Cabin Fevers 2 near Lake Superior & waterfalls, AC
We had a great time at Cabin Fever. The place was very clean and well kept. The kitchen had everything we needed and glad there was 2 bathrooms. The kids loved the sauna, and we were glad we could bring the dogs. Loved opening the curtains in the morning and having the sun come in the large patio doors. Especially appreciated the quick answers to questions we had from Marty and Virginia. Had great weather and awesome skiing at Big Powderhorn. We will definitely come back, as we love staying in the village and the convenience of skiing at Powderhorn. The floors are squeeky and you can hear people upstairs when you are sleeping, but that's how cabins areare sometimes. Thanks for a great couple of days.....Lori Gerlach
West Winds
The property is very clean, private, and quiet. It is roomy and nicely equipped, and has quality internet and wifi if you are unfortunate enough to have to VPN into work while on vacation. The location is far enough from South Haven and Saugatuck to not feel part of the touristy cities, but just a few miles from a freeway entrance to reach them easily. It is a short walk to the Lake Michigan shore. The hot tub was very clean and ready to use. The decor is the kind of thing you see on HGTV, but might be hesitant to try in your own home (barn door, shiplap, huge kitchen island, etc.), and it is fun to try out these design ideas to see if they would work for you. The kitchen is well equipped with many utensils and pans, and has a few basic supplies that you might forget to bring, such as cooking oil. When we had a problem with the property (we blew a breaker when we turned on an electric fireplace on the same circuit my brother was charging his car, and the breaker was in a locked space), the property owner was easy to reach and corrected the problem right away.
Aesthetic ranch style home with modern furnishings
I will be back again! This was a spacious and clean place to stay that was nearby anything you could ever want or need. The host Alex was very accommodating and always responsive to my questions. I enjoyed feeling like I was at home while there, watching a movie with surround sound with the fireplace going after making dinner in the fully stocked, large kitchen and then going to sleep in the most comfy bed. The shower was super cool to use in the spacious bathroom. Lots of natural daylight and great window treatments to make it dark for rest!! I also did a couple loads of laundry and that was a convenient set up, as well. I couldn’t speak highly enough about the host. He was very kind to us during a rough week with a busy schedule.
Pinecrest
We had all commented that the pictures don’t necessarily do this place justice. When you first walk in I was surprised at how nice the open floor plan was. Most things congregate around the kitchen anyway and it was perfect for that. Nice granite countertops, everything was very clean, smelled nice, everything you could want was there. The grill was there and full of propane with an extra tank. Firewood is all stacked nicely for your use, which we did each night. The lake is beautiful in we had a bit of a shorter stay, but next time will definitely rent a pontoon boat or kayaks could even be used on this lake as it is pretty calm. We saw a few of the locals doing that. Property property owner was always in prompt communication. She was very helpful with any of our questions and we had no problems with anything at all while we were there. This area is very nice. You are located in a very peaceful wooded lot with lots of privacy. Small towns, little breweries, Downtown Saugatuck, Holland, Douglas are all close by. We even found some nice little farm stands and bought fresh fruit and some of the local wines while we were there. Like I said, the only regret we really had is that we didn’t have more time. It’s a wonderful experience in a very peaceful and serene setting. Your family will have a wonderful time. Just bring your food and drinks and the rest is all there with the exception of beach towels you may need down by the lake. However, that’s all in the information on the place. Everyone that we had any form of contact with around the area was super nice and friendly. It’s a wonderful little pocket in Michigan that you should really experience.
Endless Blue
Quick 2-5 minutes walk to a gorgeous private beach. Stairs to beach are steep but easy, even back up, as long as you're healthy. 2 out of 4 trams were functioning for taking beach supplies and people down or back up. So handy. Many spots along the rocks or around the corner to "relieve yourself" if needed. Many sandy little roads in this neighborhood to run or just walk and look at the homes. Local residents and other vacationers were so friendly. So many, like us, headed to the coastline for sunset viewing (for us was 8:45 P early June). Some had campfires on the beach with gathered driftwood. Warning: winds can be wild which makes for very chilly conditions, so always have jacket/sweatshirt with, on the beach or up top on the road. House size was perfect for 7-9 people. Would be nice if rooms had ceiling fans to circulate air, especially upstairs (1 box fan and 1 tiny fan available, which we did use). Nice amount of indoor and outdoor games. Great beach toys for our 4 and 7 y.o. Well equipped kitchen only missing a pizza pan and a brush or scrub/scratchy pad to clean pots/pans. We like to cook! Also loved washing machine and dryer. Perfect vacation!
Log Cabin INN w/Outdoor Hot Tub Wi-Fi A/C Secluded
We recently stayed at this charming log cabin in Gaylord, MI, and it exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we felt enveloped in tranquility. Here’s why we loved it: Relaxing Ambiance: The cabin’s serene surroundings instantly put us at ease. Nestled amidst lush woodlands, it felt like a true escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Tranquil Setting: The quietude was remarkable. We woke up to birdsong and the rustling of leaves—a perfect respite from the noise of the city. Laid-Back Vibes: The cabin’s rustic charm and cozy interiors made us feel right at home. It’s the kind of place where you can kick back, read a book, and forget about time. Spotlessly Clean: The cleanliness was impeccable. Every corner of the cabin was well-maintained, and we appreciated the attention to detail. New and Inviting: The cabin had a fresh, new feel. It’s evident that the owners take pride in maintaining their property. And let’s talk about that hot tub! Oh, what a delight. The water was perfectly heated to 104 degrees, and we spent evenings soaking under the star-studded sky. It was pure bliss. We highly recommend this VRBO log cabin to anyone seeking a peaceful getaway. Whether you’re a couple or a family wanting quality time together, this place ticks all the boxes. Thank you for providing such a wonderful retreat—we’ll be back!
Lake Escape A Cozy Cottage - Private Hot Tub Open All Year - Short Walk to Beach
My family really enjoyed our stay. There are so many great reasons to stay here as shared in other reviews, we thought it would be helpful to share the unexpected awesomeness we found. 1. The property was extremely clean and well cared for, I’m talking beyond expectations clean. Immaculate, even the grill was super clean and 2 tanks of propane were provided. 2.The kitchen contained basic spices, condiments, oil, and half and half, were available. 3. Hooks, hooks everywhere. Plenty of spots for towels, robes, swim suits, jackets and the like. 4. Blocks, books, and board games are abundant. 5. The cookware in the kitchen was in amazing shape, have often been disappointed at other Vrbo properties in the past. You can actually make over easy eggs here! 6. Foil, Saran Wrap and zip top bags were provided!!! 7. All paper products, including paper plates, paper towels, TP and tissues were provided for the week. 8. In addition to basic soap and shampoo, there was a stash of hospitality personal care items in the closet. 9. Beach gear is available for use, umbrellas, floaters, chairs etc. 10. A fire starter log was provided in the fire pit!! Plus, the outdoor back area opens from an amazing deck to a shared green space. Of note: When you read the fine print you’ll notice that two of the bedrooms don’t have AC, but this only a technicality. While the master has AC vents, we still found both extra bedrooms to be very comfortable when the doors were left open as they are located directly off the main part of the house, which has central HVAC.
