Maine vacation rentals

This was probably one of my favorite short term rentals I have ever stayed at. We stayed with our two pups and had the most magical time. The view from the home is truly unbelievable and made waking up every morning a special experience. The house is beautifully decorated, clean, and relaxing. While it was only us two, this home would be absolutely incredible for families. The house is located in a quiet, peaceful location, but has super easy access to Bethel and many other attractions. We had so much fun exploring the area, but even just hanging at the house was wonderful. Our dogs LOVED this property. It was actually heart warming to watch our two city dogs gallop across the enormous yard and explore. I highly recommend this for an all-seasons getaway!

The Lazy Moose Lodge - will not disappoint. The home was perfect for the girls get together. Great space to relax enjoy the hot tub and be girls. This home is immediately welcoming upon arrival. The main lower entrance opens to a large multi purpose game room / living room with plenty of room and seating for the group during a game of pool or to watch a movie on the large tv. 3 bedrooms and a full bathroom shared between that floor along with the sauna entrance and outside access to the hot tub which was amazing under the stars. The upper floor has an open concept with a large kitchen and living room. The kitchen is perfect for preparing food while staying connected to the conversations and others in your group or keeping an eye on the younger kids. The kitchen offered all that was needed for preparation of a quick snack or more in-depth dinner like fried fish tacos. With seating for 6+ at the table and 2 more at the island. The living room sectional and chair were more then enough to enjoy a board game (great selection provided by owner) a movie or to warm up by the gas stove. The two bedrooms on this floor are just as roomy as the ones on the lower level with comfortable beds and bedding. Bonnie was a pleasure to deal with and although we had no problems, it was nice to know she was only a text away. I would recommend Bonnie and the use of her Lazy Moose Lodge without hesitation

This place is beautiful. If you are looking for a little peace and quiet away from it all - this is your own little piece of heaven. The views are amazing - you could spend your whole time on the porch enjoying the sunrise, lobster boats, eagles and tides coming in and out. There is not much more relaxing than a camp fire at dusk overlooking the ocean with the sounds of the tides in the background. The kids spent hours scouring the beach for sea glass and left with bags full! We did most of our meals in the well stocked kitchen but if you want to venture out for dinner don't miss Bayview takeout in Jonesport and Helen's in Machias (30 min). The beds are comfortable and the home is very clean and well set up for our family of 6. Laurie is an outstanding host and covered everything we needed to know as soon as we arrived - with very helpful recommendations when we asked. We used this great home as our base to see West Quoddy Head Lighthouse in Lubec (little over an hour - don't miss the Coastal Trail on a clear day while you are there), hike the Great Wass Preserve (20 min), hike Otter falls and Highland trails in Columbia Falls (25 min), and Acadia (1.5 hours). We left relaxed and spoiled by all the beauty. Thanks for sharing your place and making this a great vacation for our family. We would return in a heartbeat.

My husband and I live in Midcoast, ME, about 30 minutes away from where Roam + Nomad are docked. We have not traveled much the last few years and wanted to plan a nearby getaway just to relax and have a change of scenery. We booked Roam + Nomad for the weekend with 2 other friends and it was exactly what we were hoping for and so much more! From the time of booking, Rheanna could not have been more responsive or helpful. She answered all of our questions incredibly quickly and shared tips for what to bring/expect. Rheanna & her staff meet you at the dock upon pick up and motor you out to a mooring (just a few hundred yards away from the dock) where you will remain throughout your stay (there is a canoe should you want to come ashore for any reason). The boats were incredibly clean and well appointed with everything you may need during your stay. We were lucky to have perfect weather while we were onboard Roam and enjoyed our time to the fullest! We swam, read, enjoyed our coffee while watching the sun rise and listening to the loons, took a canoe paddle around the pond, canoed ashore to head for ice cream at Granite Hall, grilled our dinners on the boat and watched the sunset while eating. The pond itself is so beautiful and the location of where the boats are moored is very serene and peaceful. We saw bald eagles, osprey, turtles, loons (and a baby loon!), fish and much more wildlife in the 2 days we were there. The entire weekend was so enjoyable and relaxing, we cannot wait to return! In addition to the exceptional accommodations, we were very grateful for what an amazing host Rheanna is. She and her staff were so welcoming, kind, knowledgable, and helpful and we were very impressed by the level of care they put into our experience. We cannot recommend Roam + Nomad enough and highly recommend booking if you are considering it. You will not be disappointed!

Our family of three had a lovely 2+ week stay at “The Cabin” in Fryeburg. The home is surprisingly roomy with a comfortable living area, kitchen, queen bedroom, and a full bathroom with shower on the main level. In the basement, there is a second queen bedroom and a 1/2 bath as well as the TV room, play area and full-size washer and dryer. We lucked out with the weather and didn’t need to turn on the window-unit air conditioners until the last two days of our stay, but when we did they kept the main level nice and cool. The downstairs seems to stays at a consistently comfortable and cool temperature, even during 90+ degree days. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything that we needed during our long stay (including sharp knives - so rare in a AirBnB!). All the appliances are new and everything worked well. There are even two coffee options - traditional drip and K-Cup. Although we didn’t have a chance to use them, there is a grill, a fire pit, a picnic table and Adirondack chairs out back. The two adults had to work a bit during our stay and the WiFi was robust enough to handle our video calls, and our child’s streaming activity (200+ MB/s when I tested). The home is conveniently located near the Fryburg Fairgrounds, several Saco River launch sites and beaches, numerous hiking trails, and all that Western Maine has to offer. North Conway, Mount Washington and several ski resorts are also nearby. Jeremy was very responsive whenever we had questions. We can strongly recommend “The Cabin” for your next stay in the area.

We all loved the antique kitchen, the warm, homey atmosphere that the owners filled the house with. From cool, beautiful artwork everywhere to every detail provided for a comfortable stay, the 3 of us could not have been happier. The plan was to spend a day painting in plein air- check - done at the light house park. The next day rained, so we went to Rockland- minutes away- for a fantastic museum and gallery tour. Our final day the owner told us about a nearby state park at Birch Point Beach, realized our Maine Coast fantasy! Oh I should include the fact we had brought most of our meals so we could just stay there, but we were missing a blender for morning smoothies. Presto! I called the owner and one was delivered the very next day! We were singing her praises! Now we are talking about a week next year, rather than the 3 fantastic yet limited nights-we booked this time. Very satisfied with everything included in Maine Cottages. Good job Shawn! Thanks so much for the great memories. We Loved it!

Do you want a modern way of being outdoors but hate camping? Then look no further than this excellent new cabin on a pond! As soon as you pull up to your cabin you will say things like omg, wow, holy crap and best decision ever! Not only does the outside of the cabin looks the inside is even better! Bonus there is a hot tub on the deck! It is also in a perfect location to explore the surrounding towns and lakes. Highly recommend booking here. Thank you, Pine & Pond!!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful home! From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by how clean, cozy, and thoughtfully designed everything was. The house was even better than the photos, spacious, well-stocked, and filled with natural light. It was peaceful and scenic, making it the perfect escape from the hustle of daily life.The kids had a blast with all the space to play, and we adults appreciated the peaceful ambiance and well-stocked kitchen. One of our favorite touches was the coffee station complete with fresh coffee beans and a grinder, such a treat to start each morning with a perfect cup! We also loved the hot tub, the mountain views and the outside fireplace. Every little detail was taken care of. Lauren & Eric was incredibly responsive and kind, making us feel truly welcome. It was the perfect place to relax, recharge, and make memories with loved ones. We would return in a heart beat and highly recommend to anyone looking for a special stay.
