South Dakota vacation rentals

The Freebird Lodge exceeded our expectations! There were a group of 18 adults and 5 kiddos. We each pretty much had our own living area and we congregated in the main lodge to cook, eat, and then retreated to the amazing deck to visit, watch the horses, and the beautiful scenery of the hills. The lodge was very clean and is stocked very well with anything you need. There is plenty of cooking utensils, plates, etc and the bathrooms are stocked with all kinds of product. There are two grills, bean bag outdoor game, bikes to ride, horses to pet, and access to a stream. Tracy and Bruce have pretty much thought of all the details to make your stay worry-free. The new salt water pool is amazing and is just down the hill for easy access. The pool house was not finished yet but looks like it is going to be a very nice place to stay and play. The people of Nemo are very nice and accommodating. We rented a UTV and the kids' road horses from D&K ATV Rental and trail rides. Bruce and Tracy are top notch people. We can as strangers and left as friends. We plan to return in the near future.

We stayed at Bruce’s place as it was pretty centrally located to all of our site seeing we were doing, and it did not disappoint! We traveled with our two younger kids as well as their grandparents, and there was something for everyone at the house. Of course the kids loved playing and splashing in the pool and seeing the fluffy bunnies hop around the outside. The adults really enjoyed sitting by a quiet fire, and the large table for games by the expansive windows to the outdoor views! We would definitely recommend!

The moment we arrived at the farmhouse our first response was "WOW!" Stella is a beautiful home on a picture perfect piece of land! We were so impressed with the old charm that was captured and loved seeing the book of the renovation process too. Finding a home to accommodate 2 families can be challenging, especially with 5 children who just want to play outside and be kids. But this place was exactly what we were looking for, room for the kids to run around and beautiful views off the back with plenty of space for moms and dads to kick back and relax. There was lots of wildlife on the property and along the routes leading to the house, we saw deer, elk, rabbits, chipmunks, and tons of birds. Inside the home you will have everything you could possibly need, a loaded kitchen with tons of things you don't think of until you need them, plenty of space to sleep, sit and eat. Lesley was very helpful with recommendations on where to go and what to do, and answering any of our questions.

By far the best responsive host I have ever dealt with the place was very clean and as advertised very well stocked kitchen comfortable beds and close to everything Huron had to offer I will definitely book again when I’m in Huron

Kayleen was amazing and always got back to me in a very timely manner. Thank you for making a nice place for my husbands home away from home.
