New Mexico vacation rentals

Who wouldn't be captivated by Santa Fe? With its crisp air and gorgeous mountain views, endless places to dine out and shop, and fabulous art for days, it's an approachable city meant for exploration and enjoyment. Our favorite part of our week-long trip was staying at Casita Del Norte. Blissfully peaceful, yet right in the heart of it all, we were delighted by the distinctive adobe architecture and contemporary charm with beautifully-appointed furnishings and decor. Every detail was considered and there were wonderful little surprises to be discovered in each room: a pleasing vinyl collection and record player, colorful Mexican hand-painted bathroom sinks, comfortable patios at every turn. The kitchen was so well-equipped that there was nothing we wouldn't have been able to cook there. The bedrooms featured king size beds and plenty of closet and drawer space, so we were able to tuck away our luggage and luxuriate in the sizable spaces without even a hint of clutter. (That's basically a miracle when you're traveling with kids.) It would have been a perfect stay as is, but the curated list of things to do in Santa Fe really ensured we had an amazing visit. We had a few ideas in mind, but arrived with a mostly-open schedule and open minds. Having a list of thoughtful suggestions made it so easy for us to pick a place to eat after a long day of exploring, and there wasn't a place that we visited that we wouldn't return to again. It took all of the guesswork out of the stay and not a moment of our trip was wasted. The city is easily navigable by car, but the prime location of the house allowed us to walk most places. We never wanted to leave! Hands down, this was our favorite and easiest family vacation.

We have rented homes in Portland, Austin, Mexico, Chicago and many more places. This was by far one of my favorite home rentals! There is good reason why this home has such high ratings and such wonderful reviews! As soon as we pulled up, I smiled from ear to ear! Upon opening the front door, we were immediately impressed with the “slice of paradise” that we had found in Albuquerque and we were so happy that we had the WHOLE week to enjoy it! Every detail you can imagine had been thought of here! Michael was a wonderful and very gracious hostess. And if the gorgeous property was not enough to drop my socks, we were greeted with a bowl of freshly picked peaches & plums from the organic fruit trees that are growing on the property that Michael had picked for us that day! Yum! Yum! The layout of the home is perfect and the outside courtyard areas are simply amazing! There is the perfect outdoor spot for sun, fun & shade throughout the day. We loved our morning coffee time and our late night dinners or wine time outdoors. The location of the home is wonderful! Yes you can walk to breakfast or purchase all of your healthy grocery goods at the local co-op just a short distance from the home. We loved the close proximity to the walking/biking & running trails along the Rio Grande and enjoyed a long morning walk most every day of our stay! We would rent this home again! Do yourself a favor and stop looking at other properties because you have already found the perfect vacation home. This was truly a “slice of paradise” in Albuquerque. Casa La Huerta - The Orchard House.

This was our second visit to Eastern Star Retreat, and we're sure to come back. We've stayed at several different properties on visits to Taos over the years, but ESR is our favorite by far. The floor plan is great for our family get-togethers--esp the large central area where we can all hang out without being on top of each other, and the floor-to-ceiling windows with 180 degree views of the mountains. The heated floor keeps it plenty warm on those cold Taos nights, and the kids love the watching the stars from the hot tub. This is place for us to relax and heal and just get away from it all for a bit. Owners have been easy to work with and very responsive. Distance to town is short, and there is a lot of open land around the property which helps to make it quiet and relaxing. The internet is fine for Netflix, but doesn't work well with Skype calls and the like. Just something to be aware of if you do need to carry work with you. I don't think there is anything the owners can do about the internet coverage--it's a Taos thing. Cell phone coverage is great, however, as is internet via cell---I ran a web meeting off my phone no problem. We love this place and plan to come back in the spring. Tons of great places in Taos, but some of our favorites are: Elevation Coffee, Farm to Table restaurant, and the Trading Post Cafe. Don't let the look of the Trading Post fool you--some of the best mussels I've ever had. Food is fantastic.

Highly recommend this cabin just outside Red River. First, the pictures for this cabin on VRBO are true to the actual cabin. The cabin was neat, and clean. The kitchen is the best stocked kitchen we have experience to date when compared to other cabins. More than enough dinnerware and utensil so you don't have to wash things up after every meal. The kitchen table is situated along a front window that faces a beautiful scene of trees and mountains. We sat on the front porch every morning and enjoyed the experience of trees , mountains and birds. In fact we liked the chairs so much we plan to buy some. Working with the owners was exceptional! They are very responsive and helpful. The check in process is also the best we've had. The location is an ideal jumping point for day hiking. We will most certainly book this cabin again when visiting the area and, again, highly recommend this property.

Nuestra experiencia en la cabaña de Eric en Ruidoso, Nuevo México, fue excelente. Excelente experiencia. La cabaña estaba hermosa, muy bien cuidada y con todas las comodidades; realmente no necesitas llevar nada porque todo está incluido. Eric fue un anfitrión excepcional, siempre atento y respondiendo de inmediato. Viajamos con nuestra bebé de 1 año y al llegar nos tenía una cuna con sábanas y una mesita para que pudiera desayunar, un detalle que apreciamos muchísimo. Las instrucciones de llegada fueron muy claras y sencillas. El clima dentro de la cabaña fue muy cómodo durante toda nuestra estancia. En general, todo estuvo excelente. Mi familia y yo disfrutamos muchísimo nuestra estadía, y gran parte de esa experiencia tan positiva fue gracias a la cabaña y a las atenciones de Eric. Al momento de la salida, las instrucciones también fueron muy claras y sencillas. Le agradecemos mucho a Eric y sin duda volveremos a quedarnos en esta cabaña muy pronto. Totalmente recomendo!!!

This place was great. Beautiful location, easy to get to, very quiet neighborhood. Seems to be a brand new house. Very good value compared to Red River listings and no crazy fees which we appreciate. We locked ourselves out one morning (toddler hands) and Andrea made sure that we were able to get back in right away. Five stars would book again!

Where do I begin? This was by far better than any hotel experience Ive ever had in my life. Truly a 5 star stay at such a great value. Sarahs attention to detail is unmatched. To say this location has everything would be an understatement. The place is extremely clean,updated , and tastefully decorated with such a modern and clean look. The place is beautiful! I would recommend this location to anyone inquiring as well as looking forward to booking her place whenever we come back to visit. The location is 5 minutes away from the freeway. 2 minutes away from multiple grocery stores, shopping malls as well as plenty of other places to explore and dine as well. Checking in was a breeze and it’s located in a perfect part of town for future visitors. Once again, thank you so much Sarah for having us. We will see you again if possible as I can definitely see this beautiful home being booked to the maximum in the future!

Really nice place! Great inside and out. Really enjoyed drinking coffee on the porch every morning! Will definitely come back for our trip next year if the dates are available! When booking just be aware 2 of the 3 bathrooms are in the king rooms. So all the other rooms share a bathroom. Not a big deal but worth being aware of for showers!
