Andy and I love salad bars. Charley's Boat House and Grill seems to be the only restaurant in Fort Myers Beach that offers one. The salad bar offers quite a variety of veggies, fruits, dressings and other traditional salad bar fare.
The free open-air tram is in service again for peak season in Fort Myers Beach. We're in year 3 of service and there are new changes to the schedule (2020) as compared to the previous years. The service runs from January 5, 2020 through May 1, 2020 and operates between 8am and 11:30pm daily. If traffic allowed, it would pass a stop every 15 minutes.

The Original Shrimp Dock Bar and Grill is a casual dining choice on San Carlos Island of Fort Myers Beach. We decided to head over on 1/2-price pizza Tuesday. We got a great table on the deck with a wonderful view of Matanzas Pass and the sunset.
If you're looking for a generously portioned, tasty breakfast with great service, you'll want to head to Sunflower Cafe located on the mainland of Fort Myers Beach near Walmart. Knowing that we are going to overindulge, we often choose to ride our bikes. Climbing the Matanzas Pass bridge helps us work off the calories on an otherwise flat 20 minute ride from our Beach Delight vacation rental. But you can always choose to drive the short 4 miles too.
Every March, Fort Myers Beach celebrates the Shrimp Festival. The official start is the Shrimp Fest Parade. The parade travels from the Fort Myers Beach Library down to the Times Square area. When you're staying at our Beach Delight vacation rental, just grab a couple of beach chairs and pick your spot on Estero Blvd. You'll find a prime viewing location less than a one minute walk away. Just about every restaurant in Fort Myers Beach offers al fresco dining. But it's the 6th floor of the Lani Kai at the Sun Deck that you'll get fantastic Gulf of Mexico views too. There's something to please everyone at the Sun Deck. Less than a 15-minute walk from our Beach Delight vacation rental, plan on enjoying a meal at the Sun Deck.
