Many guests who vacation at the Seahorse Retreat and Palm Breeze Beach House often ask us what kind of entertainment our side of the Panhandle offers for kids.  While families opt to spend much of their time swimming in our pool, playing on our beach, or cooking out, there are many fun things to do in the area. Here’s our list (some are free!)

Here's a unique virtual view of our gracious property, beautiful amenities and stately homes. If you've got them, get your Google Cardboard or VR glasses and enjoy the next best thing to being there! And if you don't have VR glasses, you don't need them. You can use your mouse or touchscreen to move around as well.

Although technically called Sanderling, you may know them better as Sandpipers. Presently, these plump little peeps have migrated to our private shore as a respite. They have been enjoyable to watch dart back and forth in choreographed unison across the sandbar created by breezes driven from the north.

If you book either The Seahorse Retreat or The Palm Breeze Beach House, you will most likely want to kayak on the beautiful Santa Rosa Sound (our backyard), and the calm waters (in good weather) make it an ideal place to do that. And, since both homes provide tandem kayaks to guests, it is easy to bring them down to the beach and launch out into the shallow water to explore.

Fishing. Beach combing. Kayaking. Paddle Boarding. Kite Surfing. Biking. The list of outdoor activities is extensive in Navarre, FL - there’s so much to do in this area of the Panhandle! Add snorkeling to your list.
