May. - Rio Avalon Coffee -3167 Rte 9 S, Rio Grande, NJ 08242, USA - is right next door to Tacos By The Shore (see my previous post in our Places We Love Guide) and a terrific stop for breakfast or lunch. Bagels, sandwiches, grill and a full service barista counter (although we haven't tried the coffee beverages). Indoor and outdoor seating.
They have other locations, but this is the one we have grown quite familiar with.

Mike Nester and Sean Ford opened Avalon Coffee Co. doors the summer of 1994. Our philosophy is simple, like the cool beaches of Avalon. Do everything humanly possible to provide the absolute highest quality products. I haven't figured out how to mail our fresh, hand rolled bagels, but I can roast coffee and send it anywhere you like.
