Bicycling Around the Champlain Islands | Vacation Rentals In Vermont
I absolutely love bicycle riding through The Champlain Islands. I'm a novice rider...meaning I ride a road bike, I carry a pack on my bike and my riding attire usually includes gym shorts and a tie-dyed t-shirt. I'm riding for the pure joy of getting some exercise while enjoying the scenery.
Concert at the Vineyard | Vacation Rentals In Vermont
Snow Farm Vineyard's Summer Concert Series is so much fun! We paired Snow White wine with our picnic of blackened shrimp, tomato & mozzarella salad, cheese, baguettes and blueberries. So good! While we enjoyed our meal under the bright blue sky and sunshine, we were also dancing in our chairs to the music of Shake, the band.
Ferry Ride - VT to NY | Vacation Rentals In Vermont
I haven't been on the ferry in a long time. But every time I go, I definitely enjoy the ride. Today's brisk autumn air, bright sunshine and lots of fluffy clouds under the baby blue sky made for the most enjoyable ride. As I arrived at Gordon Landing in Grand Isle, I spied this SUV Limo.
Champlain Islands Candy Lab | Vacation Rentals In Vermont
That "Gelato" flag was waving to me yesterday when I was nearby in South Hero. But it was late and I guessed the Champlain Islands Candy Lab was closed. I knew my mission today. I was going to ride my bike from Grand Isle to South Hero ensuring I counter-balanced any sweet calories I'd be consuming.
Allenholm Farm | Vacation Rentals In Vermont
It's apple picking season! The apples are ready at Allenholm Farm in South Hero. We've already picked a 1/2 peck in a matter of a few minutes! Only a couple of apples are left from that outing. The majority went into apple cakes that we enjoyed with visiting family and shipped to family out of state.
Biking the Island Trail | Vacation Rentals In Vermont
This is the Vermont Bike Trail you don't want to miss! The Island Trail runs 14 miles mostly along the shore of Lake Champlain. The first 4 miles at the north end of the path in South Hero is gravel. You'll learn to ignore any bumps and dust as the Lake Champlain vistas will envelope you.
Watch Storm Roll By Grand Isle, Vermont
Across The Gut of Lake Champlain, I could see rain clouds over the Adirondacks of New York State. This would be a wonderful opportunity to get a time-elapsed video as the storm moved our way. I set up my iPad inside behind a tinted window to protect it from the weather.
