About the owner: Lucky Bend Lookout is owned by two San Francisco families-the Martins and the Peabodys. We come from different parts of the country, but mostly the SF Bay Area and Texas. Two of us are architects and were the leaders of the design team for the renovation of the house.

Why the Owner Chose Guerneville:
Both families were looking for a place where they could give their children the gift of growing up in nature. When they found this house, Regan said, 'This place is like a unicorn!' It is like no other house in the area with its beautiful location and authentic mid-century modern architecture. We look forward to enjoying the river with our families over the years and we want to share the fun with other families when we cannot be there.

The Unique Benefits at this House:
When we first saw this home we knew it was special. With the river just a few yards away, an open floor plan, the large glass expanse on the south side of the house and the exposed structural system, it all comes together in a perfect harmony. As soon as you arrive you smell the fresh clean air and feel the stress melt away and time seems to slow down a bit. We always return to the city with renewed spirits after visiting.
