THE DETAILS
Need to stretch your legs? Zionab's Guest house is conveniently located across from a grassy, tree filled city park which offers the perfect place for travelers to stretch after being cramped in a car all day. Take a leisurely stroll around the 1/2 mile track.

Prefer relaxing? Then you can enjoy the views of contrasting crimson red and verdant green scenery while you do some grilling on the side patio or watch an amazing sunset from the front porch while sipping your favorite cold beverage.

When it comes to mealtime, Zionab's kitchen is well stocked for cooking up your favorites. Besides the stove/oven combo and microwave, there is a large crock pot; a food processor for quick prep; and a blender for all your frozen favorites. Kanab has wonderful water but an added water filter is on the ice maker and kitchen's cold water. It makes wonderful coffee in the provided drip coffee pot. We also offer an electric water pot for tea. As for cooking essentials, Zionab provides a more than adequate supply of pots, pans, lids and bowls to prepare most dishes; along with a nice array of spices and staples like coffee, teas, flour, sugars, oils and condiments. Plus, your hosts, George and April, are just down the street and are happy to share any ingredients or conveniences they may have on hand. More about the hosts later.

For evening entertainment beyond the TV, you will find a variety of games and puzzles. When you are ready to be low key, the Large flat screen TV is there. Zionab provides Roku streaming along with Prime Video, a fast 1GBps fiber optic WIFI. There are Red Box Rentals located at the grocery stores. We have a bookshelf filled with an array of books and magazines including hiking guides, cowboy and pioneer books and lots of activity books like seek and find, crossword, suduko etc.

When you are ready to soothe those tired muscles, the 50 gallon, quick recovery water heater will ensure everyone has hot water to bathe before bed. The guest bath features a large, bowed front bathtub for soaking away aches and pains.

Both sizeable 12'x14' bedrooms have King sized beds with Wink Beds mattresses. They are a luxury hybrid pillow top mattress with coil springs made in Wisconsin, USA. The Master Suite is decorated in a vintage truck theme and has a 3/4 bathroom ensuite. The large, walk-in shower is the winning feature in it. The master bedroom features a large walk in closet with a cozy retreat area for those seeking a little solitude. A recliner glider with foot rest and a mood setting electric fireplace are there for you enjoy as you wind down from your adventure filled day in the beautiful Southwest Utah.

The second bedroom has a horse theme and features several beautiful works of southwestern art. Cellular shades close the world out to let you dream peacefully but the view outside the windows of the red rocks by day and dark skies by night is equally tranquil. A comfortable side chair provides a nice reading nook for the assortment of magazines provided or just a spot to put on your shoes. Additionally, there is a sleek desk with chair for you to catch up on emails if needed. A small walk in closet provides plenty of room to stow your luggage. The room is adjacent to the roomy guest bathroom which features a tub/shower combo.

A stacking washer and dryer are available in the home for guest's convenience.

The eat in kitchen has a west facing dining area with seating for four in leather covered chairs. Gorgeous views of the red rocks and lush green surroundings are just outside the window. Outdoors, a glass topped dining table also seats four and comfortable lounge chairs allow for conversation. If you prefer to dine out, downtown Kanab is just 2 miles away and offers 36 eateries of which only 4 are franchises.

Kanab itself is becoming a destination place with many enjoyable activities within a 20 mile radius of the city. New lighted basketball and tennis courts have recently been installed by the city as well as a skateboard and pump track, also lighted. The Kanab City pool is great fun with slides and splash pad. Tilted Mesa is a recently developed mountain bike trail system with 26 miles of challenging trails. Jackson Flat Reservoir is an awesome spot to swim, walk the paved path, fish or kayak. The Reservoir is encircled by a 3+ mile paved walking/bike path. There is also a frisbee golf course and cowboy style golf driving range. Kanab has several festivals that bring in a variety of fun and excitement throughout the year. Not to mention all the amazing programs that Best Friends Animal Sanctuary offers.
