Overview

Renovated, quirky private apt with premium updated amenities including wifi, a full kitchen, Disney+/Netflix/Amazon/HBO, a balcony and a double headed shower in the historic Treme, 15 min. walk to Bourbon Street, 2 Blocks to Armstrong park, 20 min walk to French Market, & a quick ride to mid-city/city park. Come for Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest or just a quiet weekend getaway.

To see our OTHER listing with a jetted tub search for: airbnb voodoovilla or use Contact Host for info.Your private pied de terre getaway has a comfy Queen size bed, 2 tvs with premium channels, free wifi, an echo for music, DVD/Blu Ray Player, full kitchen (full size fridge, stove, microwave), double head tile shower, private entrance and small private balcony overlooking our goldfish pond. The walls are covered with original and eccentric artwork, much like our neighborhood.

Fresh linens and towels are supplied (with extras provided as needed) . Iron/ironing board, hair dryer, emergency toiletries.

Our indoor spaces are non-smoking, but smoking is allowed outdoors, on the walkway, balcony or outdoor seating areas.

We are a home-owner owned, occupied and operated rental, not run by a company or impersonal management group. When you stay with us, we offer a real taste of what its like to actually live in the neighborhood and be a part of New Orleans. We do not discriminate on any basis and welcome guests of all religions, ethnicities/race, backgrounds, sexual orientation/identity, etc. We strive to give our guests as much privacy as they like but are on site in a separate unit and readily available for anything that comes up.

No events allowed

Non-overnight guests are allowed in small gatherings up to 6 individuals, but parties and loud music are not allowed. Quiet hours are 10 pm to 10 am.

There is no smoking inside. Smoking is permitted on the outside balcony and walkways.

Parking Included

There is free 24 hour on street parking, but NO off-street parking.

Getting around

We are just blocks to the newest streetcar line on Rampart Avenue which connects to the Canal Street line. City Buses travel along Rampart as well (and the occasional Hop on bus). Uber and Taxis are usually just minutes away. Free on street parking is available in our neighborhood as well. The French Quarter is 4 just blocks away and Bourbon Steet is just 7 blocks away (about 15 minutes walking).

House Rules

This is a nice quiet break from the craziness of the french quarter. Its close enough that you easily be part of the fun, but far enough that you can get a nice night's sleep when you're finally ready to turn in. We just request that you grant out neighbors the same courtesy and be respectful of their needs as well.

Also, per New Orleans rental gulations we can only host TWO individuals at a time, No exceptions. In addition the suite only sleeps two, so we recommend for your comfort and to abide by our city permit, you limit your stay to two guests. Thanks! Not suitable for children and infants, Smoking Permitted OUTSIDE only, No pets, No parties or events, Check-in is anytime after 3:00 PM, Checkout is 11 am.

Payment Policy

We can accept payment through paypal or venmo. Payment is due in full to confirm booking. Cancellations made 30 or more days prior to booking are eligible for a complete refund minus credit card processing fees (4%). Cancellations made less than 30 days prior are subject to a 50% cancellation fee. Non-Refundable bookings are available via direct booking or on Airbnb.com at a discounted price.

Notes

Non Smoking space, but you have a private balcony just outside. Unfortunately, we do not allow pets, and have a 2 guest legal maximum to ensure a pleasant experience for all our guests (and local laws). Also, please note there is NOT a landline phone, so you will need a mobile phone while staying.

Quiet hours are 10 pm to 10 am, and while visiting guests are fine, overnight guests are not permitted if it exceeds maximum occupancy.

Check in is anytime after 3:00 pm, check out any time before 11:00 am. If there are no conflicts with other guests, times are flexible, and you are always able to store your luggage securely with us regardless. With pre-approval there is NO CHARGE for early check ins and late checkouts. We are fine with late night arrivals, and always work to meet your schedule. We prefer to meet all our guests, but in emergencies we do have self check in instructions as well.

PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK THE LOCATION. We are four blocks from the quarter, 7 blocks to Lafitte's blacksmith shop on Bourbon street. There are no legal airbnbs allowed in the actual quarter so we are about as close as you can get, but its not so close that you can stumble out the door and into a bar next door. The closest bars and restaurants are mostly on Rampart 4 blocks away. It is usually a $7 or 8 uber or lylt ride to anywhere in the quarter, or you can walk pretty much anywhere in the quarter in about 20-25 minutes even the farthest end. If you have questions about the location please ask. We love our neighborhood as its quiet, safe and still close to many activities without having to be in the middle of it all 24/7.
