We have always enjoyed family beach vacations and wanted to offer other families the opportunity to share these memorable experiences. This particular property stood out to us, because of its unique Duplex design which reminded us of our twins. When someone asks us what it is like to raise twins, we always tell people it’s “Twice the Fun” but “four times the pain” but in the end it is all worth it.
What makes this House unique
Twice The Fun is a spacious and beautiful four-bedroom duplex located in the upscale, and carefully manicured and landscaped, Buck Island gated community. The home provides everything you need that will allow to relax and enjoy yourself in the Outer Banks!
If you have a larger group or just need more space you can also book the duplex right next door, if available.
Buck Island amenities include an Olympic size pool, tennis courts, cabana bathhouse and a community walkway to the beach that is only 500 yards away. After your fun day at the beach, you can unwind in your own private hot tub on the mid-level covered deck. This home has multi-levels which gives everyone plenty of space to relax, have fun, and make unforgettable memories. The spacious great room located on the top-level is a great place for everyone to gather after a fun-filled day at the beach to watch movies and enjoy some delicious homecooked meals in the well-equipped gourmet kitchen. Get everyone together for a game of cards or board games in the lower-level game room.
Buck Island is within walking distance to grocery stores, local restaurants, and shopping at the Tim Buck ll shopping village located right across the street.

House Rules
1. Must be at least 25 years old to book this property.
2. A short-term vacation rental agreement must be completed and signed which lists all the guests that will be staying at the property and a copy of a valid government ID that matches the name of the primary renter must be submitted within 24 hours of booking to confirm your reservation. See the vacation rental agreement for a list of the house rules.
3. Smoking is NOT allowed. A fee of $200 will be assessed if it is determined that smoking occurred on the premises. No cigarettes, marijuana, e-cigarettes, vapes, cigars, pipes, bongs, hookahs, candles, incense, wax melts or plug-ins. The tenant is responsible for making all guests aware of this rule.
4. Unit is privately owned; the landlord is not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The Landlord is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the Tenant. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.
5. Absolutely NO PARTIES allowed! Failure to follow this rule could lead to immediate termination of your rental with no refund. Out of respect for our neighbors, this house is not suitable for any events or parties.
6. PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED. There are many rentals that allow pets. If you are unable to leave your pet, another rental would be best. If it is determined that pets have been on-premises, additional cleaning will be required and charged to the guest at a rate of $150 for additional cleaning and $240 for carpet cleaning.
7. Parking: PARKING – Parking is limited to 2 designated parking spaces which include the garage and driveway for the unit you reserved. In addition to the 2 designated spaces, there is overflow parking at the pool parking lot, the beach parking lot, and the gravel lots in Charleston Place. Please note there is no street parking or parking on the grass in Buck Island.
8. Keep the property and all furnishings in good order.
9. Only use appliances for their intended use following the instructions and guidance provided in the Twice The Fun House Manual.
10. Storms: If there is a storm or named hurricane, no refunds will be given. IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT TRIP INSURANCE BE PURCHASED BY THE TENANT from https://insuremytrip.com/. If a mandatory evacuation order is issued, tenants will be asked to leave the premises at such time that the mandatory evacuation is set to take place. If said mandatory evacuation is lifted and the guest has time remaining on their rental before the next guest arrives, the renter may reoccupy said premises. If the landlord must check the property for damages, the renter shall allow access. The landlord is unable to accommodate requests to return at another time.
11. A $500 refundable security deposit is required with this booking and must be paid to confirm your reservation within 24 hours of booking. Tenant agrees to all House rules and understands that security deposit can/will be used for infractions of the house rules.

Cancellation Policy
A fee equal to 10% of the base rent will be charged for a cancellation once the deposit, that confirms your booking, has been received. No refunds will be made until the property has been re-rented and confirmed via full payment. If the property is not re-rented, the entire advanced payment must be forfeited
