I am originally from Boston but relocated to Norfolk in 2018. I have been vacationing in the Virginia Beach/Norfolk area since my Grandparents were in the Navy! Now I want to share everything Norfork has to offer!

House Rules
Guests will be required to provide photo identification of all guests staying at the property as well with a signed rental agreement for the length of their stay. At that time, the primary booking individual will have to present the security deposit in order to receive the keys / access code to the home.
Check-Out:
Guests must check out of home no later than 10 a.m. on their scheduled day, unless a later check-out time is approved by the home owner and there are no incoming guests for that day. Should guests check-out later than 10 a.m. without approval from the homeowner, our housecleaners are not able to access the property; guests will be fined a fee of $50.00 per hour over the check-out time. Please remember to return the house key to the lock box.
Parking:
Please respect our neighbors as we share our driveway with the other units. We ask that our guests please park their cars in the driveway in their designated space. Cars cannot stay parked on the street. Please do not park blocking the neighbors’ spaces or the entrance or on the front lawn. Should you have visitors, please ask them to find appropriate street parking on the nearby side streets. you will be responsible for towed vehicles.
Community Etiquette:
Guests are expected to respect the home and our neighbors. Quiet hours begin at 10p.m. There are no parties or events to be held on premises without consent or approval of homeowners of any kind. Should neighbors notify homeowners of parties or events occurring on the premises, guests will be asked to terminate all activities and/or may be asked to leave. This will result in your security deposit forfeited and additional fees associated with fines.
Smoking:
There is no smoking or drugs permitted anywhere inside the home or anywhere on premises outside. Any visible signs or smell of smoking or drugs on premises; guests will forfeit their deposit.
Trash Pickup:
Trash pickup occurs every Wednesday morning. We ask if you are staying during the week, you please put out the trash and recycling bins outside on Tuesday evenings. They must be wheeled out to the curb, not blocking the driveway. They may not be put out before 5p.m. This ensures that trash doesn’t accumulate during the week and rodents and critters do not come into the home. Please place bins in their respective locations at the end of the day Wednesday upon pickup. All trash must be in closed bags provided during your stay in our home. No loose trash is allowed and will not be picked up.
Pet Policy:
While we are a pet friendly family, pets are not allowed in the home or property without consent of the homeowner. If there are visible signs of pets of any kind, you will be asked to vacate the premises and your security deposit will be forfeited.
House Inventory
Linens & Towels:
All beds are made for our guests upon arrival. Please only use the beds for the quantity of people staying in the home to avoid any extra charges. Sets of towels are also provided our guests to use during their stay. These towels will all be located in the bathroom closet. Each guest is provided with a set including makeup towels. There are beach towels for guests to use as well based on the occupancy amount. Please only use what you need to so we may save water and electricity while doing laundry after you depart.
Kitchen:
The kitchen is stocked with all basic items for you to enjoy your stay. We ask that if anything is broken or damaged please let us know so we may replace it. Should you have any recommendation on missing items please let us know in order to make future stays more enjoyable!
Under the sink you will find dishwasher tablets, 1 for each day of your stay; dish soap and sponge, trash bags, and paper towels and all-purpose kitchen cleaner.
Laundry:
We do leave access to our washer and dryer. Guests are to supply their own detergent. Please do not over fill the machine.
Detergents must be HE (High Efficiency) to be used. If the proper detergent is not used, it will cause the machine to overflow and flood.
At check-out, we ask that guests start the laundry ONLY WITH BEACH TOWELS if they are used in order to assist in keeping the house in order. Please do not put no more than 5 beach towels at a time to wash.
Personal Items:
We like to remind guests this is our private home. Therefore please respect all furniture and personal items that belong to the house. Any damage or missing items will be noted.

Refundable Damage Deposit
Damage Deposit is due 7 days via check for confirmation of rental to be held by homeowner until rental has been vacated and inspected. The total amount for the rental deposit is $500.00.
The following are grounds for forfeiting the refund policy in total: Breaking house rules such as additional guests over the max occupancy of 4 residents not approved by the homeowner, unauthorized events, illegal drugs, and significant damage (dirt, holes, tears, burns, and stains of any size or amount in the carpets, drapes, walls, fixtures, and/or any other part of the premises, do not constitute reasonable wear and tear). Signs of unauthorized pets on the property.

Cancellation Policy
Please note that your booking is agreed on our strict policy. While the booking on these recent dates it was well known that there was a pandemic and you reviewed and accepted the cancelation policy as stated.
Short Term Rentals:
To receive a full refund, guests must cancel within 48 hours of booking, and the cancellation must occur at least 14 days before check-in
If guest cancel between 7 and 14 days before check-in, 50% for all nights will be refunded.
If they cancel after that, no refund will be returned.
Long term
This policy applies to all stays of 28 days or longer and overrides your standard cancellation policy for those stays.
To receive a full refund, guests must cancel within 48 hours of booking, and the cancellation must occur at least 28 days before check-in
If a guest cancels after that, guests only receive 25% of total booking fee.
If fewer than 30 days remain on the reservation when the guest cancels, guests do not receive refund of those remaining nights

They may also present a cashiers check or money order of the amount that will be deposited until the end of their stay.
