Stylish and hip, The Nut House is located in the heart of Massanutten Resort, yet surrounded by trees and mountains offering privacy and serenity.
Offering a main level great room with floor to ceiling windows, gourmet kitchen, dining area, TV nook, and deck overlooking woods with babbling creek. The three bedrooms (linens and bath towels incl) offer the following configuration: main-level, king-bedded master (1 K) and two upstairs bedrooms (1Q and 2T).
The upper deck has seating for 6 and a Weber grill (propane provided). The lower deck features an outdoor hot tub. With views of the slopes, it's a perfect way to end a day of skiing and tubing!
Our home is very warm and inviting, with comfortable furnishings offering a classic retro mid-century modern decor. We have had a great time traveling to estate sales for authentic and whimsical pieces that continue to delight our guests. But we have not forgotten modern conveniences...wireless internet, cable flat screen TV, dishwasher, washer/dryer, air conditioning, DVD player, iHome, etc.
The kitchen boasts anything a chef could need - offering both Keurig and drip coffee makers, toaster oven, blender, ice maker, microwave, and Henckel knives. And we make it easy: house includes all the “under the kitchen sink” necessities so you do not have to pack all the boring stuff. So we keep stocked for our guests: dish soap, scrubbies/sponges, brillo pads, dishwasher detergent, dish towels, paper towels, napkins, trash bags, cleaning spray, coffee filters, tin foil, saran wrap, ziplocs, spices, cooking spray, salt/pepper, toilet paper, disinfectant wipes, and laundry detergent.
We provide linens/pillows for all beds. When you arrive you will find they are all made up for you, ready to go, unlike many rental homes in the resort. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook and serve meals -- just bring your food.
For summer rentals, we have purchased the Pool Guest Pass for the homeowners' outdoor pool. Not all homes offer this, so be sure to ask if this is an amenity you plan to use. Open Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Ideally located in the resort, inside the guard gates less than 5 minutes from on-site resort amenities: zipline, indoor/outdoor waterpark (biggest on the East Coast!), terrific hiking, golf courses, driving range, horseback riding, mini golf, Euro bungee house, racecars, bumper cars, playgrounds, outdoor pool, summer concerts, skateboard park, skiing, year-round tubing hill, ice skating, and more!
