Overview

Whether you are here for an event, 420, the music & art scene, bar-hopping, exploring nature, or hitting the hills for a ski/ride sesh, or for work the Denver Gem is centrally located between the most major reasons people visit Denver. In just 15 minutes in any direction you can be Downtown, Red Rocks Amphitheater, DTC. Close, but far enough from the ruckus to have a quiet, good night sleep so you are fully rejuvenated for the next day’s adventure. Tip: Enjoy ultra relaxation in the hot tub.

Enjoy your own private ~800 sq ft basement level apartment in my primary residence in Ruby Hill neighborhood of Denver. Private entrance with keyless self-entry.

Included in the space there are 2 bedrooms with 2 comfortable queen beds (1 memory foam, 1 beauty rest) and 1 surprisingly plush and comfortable convertible sofa bed that easily folds down into a full size bed in your units living room. This unit has 1 bathroom, a kitchenette, and laundry area.

The Kitchenette includes a Keurig coffee maker, electric tea kettle, a microwave, a toaster, and an electric hot plate/press/griddle. Also included, coffee pods, creamer, sugar, tea selection, snacks, water.

Soak up the sun in the large SHARED BACKYARD and relax in the HOT TUB before or after exploring the outdoors or the town. You are free to enjoy the hot tub or backyard area whenever you’d like with understanding that this section is shared and we may be out there at any time using the space as well. If we happen to be out there you are always welcome to join us! There will be plenty of opportunities to use the space privately while I am at work or inside my home.

Relax and rejuvenate from too much play(or work!) in a 420 friendly uniquely designed space. So unique and rare that a lot of what you will find in the space are 1 of a kind, craftily created, artfully repurposed, thoughtfully designed and decorated and DIY made by me, specifically for you!

As it is a basement unit, you will have fans accessible and an indoor electric fireplace space heater if it gets chilly since the thermostat is not accessible from the unit. You are also free to shoot me a message if you’d like to turn the temp up or down and I would be happy to re- adjust for you as needed.

Hopefully you’re not on vacation just to play on the internet and watch tv...but for those necessary chill out sesh’s to regroup I have WiFi, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime accounts set up for you to use at your convenience.
Also, some colorful back lighting options on the tv just for fun!

Private entrance keyless entry private basement unit located up the driveway and to the left at the rear of home. Enter shared backyard area with HOT TUB (!!) and BBQ which you enter through the gate up the driveway of the fenced in back yard.

I am as available as you need/would like me to be! I am a social person but also love my private time and understand you didn’t come to Denver to visit me lol. I definitely want you to feel at home here and I look forward to having you!

You may run into me and my dogs in the backyard from time to time and you are always welcome to join us! Other than outdoor common area we have separate/private living quarters. I will always respect your privacy.

Please manage expectations accordingly. At a hotel you would have other guests utilizing the backyard and outdoor amenity areas as well. Willing to coordinate guaranteed privacy for backyard when scheduled in advance, however I work full time so there will be plenty of times to use it with complete privacy anyways.

I am best reached by text messaging over the app especially during business hours. I work on the phones so if it isn’t text-able and something requires immediate attention and a phone call during business hours, please call co-host Kyley ASAP.

Quiet neighborhood, close enough to all the fun bars, breweries, restaurants, boutique shops...but just far enough to come home to hassle free parking and a peaceful and quiet slumber.

The Denver Gem is located moments away from Ruby Hill Park where there is free sledding and ski/ride parks set up in the winter and Levitt Pavilion Amphitheater in the summer/fall which hosts 50 free local music concerts as well as some big named paid shows.

10-15 min to Union Station (downtown)
5-10 minutes from South Broadway, Platte Park, Wash Park, DU area
15-20 min to Red Rocks amphitheater
30-40 min to DIA

Depending on your final destination most fun hotspots in Denver area are only a $7-$13 Uber ride.

If not renting a car, the best way to get around is via Uber. I even Uber downtown whenever I go there instead of drive bc it is very hard to find parking once you are down there and you’d likely spend more time circling one way streets in heavy traffic trying to find a meter or have to pay much more to park in a lot than an Uber ride would cost you. It’s hassle and guilt free! Have that second drink instead of worrying about driving.

If not renting a car and you will be arriving or departing during standard rush hour timeframes, I would recommend taking the light rail to Union Station and Uber to or from home/DIA

I live in the upper level unit of the home with my 2 sweet shepherd mix dogs Luna and Abbey.

Being new to Air B & B, my pups aren’t used to new guests coming in and out yet so they might bark on your way in out of confusion so just say “Hi Luna & Abbey!!” So they know you’re a welcomed guest and not a threat. My past guests let me know they stopped barking once they were out of site from the pups. I do use extra caution when it comes to dog noise and have the front door and windows blacked out so they don’t bark at every passerby, car driving or mailmen etc. They also wear bark collars to keep the barking to a bare minimum... but they are still dogs so I can only do so much to keep it down. When I am not home they will be secured in the addition section of the home and may have the ability to be in the backyard so please use extra caution when entering the gate to not let them outside of the gate.

To stay here you must love dogs bc you may run into them when in the backyard, they will love you back! As I am new to air bnb... and the unit is self check in they may be confused and bark when you enter the premises if I am not there to meet you upon arrival but they will calm down and stop once you are out of site, I am told from past guests. They are also in a separate unit so you don’t need to worry about them, they won’t be in your space at all. Your unit is completely private.

NO ILLEGAL ACTIVITY on the premises. NO DENVER LOCALS permitted to book, if government identification states you or any guests live anywhere within 20 miles of Denver. —HOT TUB— -No glass in or around hot tub, plastic cups provided -No eating in hot tub -No funny business or pottying in hot tub, this is not a commercially chemically treated hot tub, don’t be gross. -No adding chemicals or soap/bubbles etc. -Hot tub closes at 10pm unless approved in advance. CHECK OUT RULES: CHECK OUT IS AT 10am sharp(unless approved in advance) -Take all of your personal belongings with you and vacate the premises promptly at check out time leaving the unit in the condition it was found. -Bring all garbage accumulated during your stay and place in black garbage bin in driveway. Place all recyclables in purple bin. -Any forgotten items needing to be shipped will result in a fee to cover cost of packaging,shipping, gas, and time starting at $20 for small/light objects with standard shipping and may increase depending on size/weight and preferred/required shipping speed. -Cleaners have very tight deadlines and even minor delays can cause major scheduling conflicts and result in additional charges. Consequences for unapproved late check out: -$25 after the first unapproved 30 minutes and additional $25 nightly rate WILL reoccur every 30 minutes until the premises has been vacated. -if early check ins are possible there is an additional charge of $15/hr requested. —NO FIVE FINGER DISCOUNTS— If you didn’t bring it here, don’t take it with you. (This includes toiletries!) The toiletries are for guests to use during their stay (not giveaways) Any items in home that are taken after your stay will result in a charge to replace the item starting at minimum fee of $20 and up to the full replacement cost of vanished item(s).
