Summit Escape - Harrisonburg

We hope you enjoy your stay at Summit Escape! To keep our neighborhood enjoyable for you, as well as our family, neighbors, and future Summit Escape guests, we ask for you to note and cooperate with these house rules:

Parking: Please only park in the designated space in our driveway (it is the closest to your guest suite entrance). If your group has more than one vehicle, please let us know at the time of your booking so we can arrange for additional parking.

Noise/Quiet hours: This is a quiet residential neighborhood, so please observe quiet hours from 10:00pm-7:00am. The guest suite is located in the upper level of our home. Though we have taken measures to reduce sound between the guest suite and our part of the house, it is not completely sound proof.

Smoking/vaping: This is a non-smoking property. Smoking and vaping are absolutely prohibited anywhere on our property and that of our neighbors! If smells of tobacco or vape are detected during your stay or after check-out, the cost of professional cleaning and fumigation will be reported to Airbnb and billed to the guest.

Kitchen use: Note that we have a kitchenette (not a full kitchen) that includes a minifridge, countertop 2-burner hotplate, microwave, and convection toaster oven. It is not equipped to prepare full meals, but is well suited for breakfast or simple lunches or dinners. Please do not put grease down the kitchen sink. A tin can is available under the sink into which grease should be poured prior to washing the cookware.

Safety/Security: This is a safe neighborhood, but please remember to lock the sliding glass door at night and when you leave the premises. If you have bikes, you may lock them outside under the stairs. We do have several outdoor security cameras on our property, including one that covers the parking area and a Ring doorbell at our back door which is on the way up the steps to the guest suite. (There are a few others that cover areas of the property that aren't typically used by guests, and we would be glad to answer any questions you may have about their locations).

Damages: If anything is damaged or broken during your stay, please let us know right away so we can replace or make necessary repairs. We understand that accidents happen, but costs of repairs or replacements that appear to be due to abuse or intentional misuse will be reported to Airbnb and billed to guests.

Checkout: Please ensure all dishes, cookware, and utensils are washed thoroughly and put away or left in the drying rack. Please hang up any used towels. If you move any furniture, please return it to its original location.
