Stonehouse is a very private 1160 sq. foot daylight basement apartment. We are surrounded in the woodlands of Waterboard Park just above historic Oregon City (winner of 2018 Great American Main Street Award.) A garden path leads to your own separate keyless entry, which opens to the living room, dining room and kitchen.
Rest peacefully in one of our comfortable cozy beds. One bedroom has a king bed and is totally private. This bed can be converted to two twins. The other sleeping area has a queen bed and the entrance to the main bathroom.
If you want peace, enjoy a cup of tea on your patio while watch the glow of the setting sun over the moss covered forest. Or stroll up the walking path to lookout over Oregon City and beyond.
If you want city, just walk to the bus stop or to downtown Oregon City via the elevator to explore wonderful restaurants, bars, and shops.

Steven and I have been hosts for International students and so when it became time to retire using our home for a Short Term Rental made that transition possible. I worked in the travel industry and know how important clean and comfortable accommodations are. So with that in mind, we created Stonehouse.

Getting around

Walk down 4th Street to Linn and your at the bus stop only 3 minutes away. The 33 bus line can take you to local areas or you can change over to 35 and take the bus to downtown Portland. You can also take the bus to the Max line, which goes everywhere in Portland. The train station is in Oregon City and Amtrak stops once a day. Portland International Airport is 30 minutes away. Stonehouse is a quick hope onto I205.

House Rules

No smoking/ drugs on or in the property.

Proof of Short Term Renters Insurance is required before occupancy. We carry insurance and ask that you do as well.

Any unlawful activity, drug use, smoking or breaking of house rules, or activity that requires the police to respond will result in eviction with no refund for remaining reservation.

Checkout 11am. Leave the space tidy-leave bedding, towels hung, garbage taken out, dishes done and lock up.

Payment Policy

First payment and deposit are due at time of reservation. For rentals longer than one month, payment is due between the 1st to the 5th of each month. Payments are done through VINMO.

Refundable Damage Deposit

Signed contract, proof of Short Term rental insurance, and Damage deposit $500 must be sent prior to occupancy .

Cancellation Policy

Travelers who cancel at least 30 days
before check-in will get back 100% of
the amount they've paid.
Travelers who cancel at least 14 days
before check-in will get back 50% of
the amount theyve paid.
If they cancel between undefined and
undefined days before check-in, they'll
get back undefined%. Otherwise, they
won't get a refund.

Notes

You must show proof of Short Term Rental Insurance. A photo copy works. This insurance should only cost about $15. Don’t pay more. Your homeowners policy is your best option. There are others online.
