Overview

If you are looking for downtown convenience, look no more, this house has it all! It is perfectly positioned at the edge of downtown Ketchikan on Stedman Street. No need to rent a car because everything is close walking distance. There is a grocery store one block away, restaurants, cafés, shops, art galleries, museum and tours are all in walking distance. If you would like to venture out of the city, there is a bus stop just outside the door. If you would like to go charter fishing the dock is less than a block away.

The house has a view of the harbor and feels like brand new. There are 2 roomy bedrooms, both with adjustable, Tempurpedic, queen sized beds. There is also a loft with a good quality, fold-out, futon sofa. Both bedrooms and the loft as well as the living room have a TV. The house has an open floor plan with hardwood floors and vaulted ceilings. One of the nicest features of the house is the wonderful, private deck overlooking Thomas Basin, the city’s boat harbor. This is a rare find in downtown Ketchikan, to have a large deck with a view. The deck is nicely furnished and is complete with a large gas barbeque. And, yes, there is an authentic, totem pole located just outside the front door. The pole is a classic Haida pole called Three Watchmen, Eagle, Raven Totem Pole. It is on the neighboring private property but viewable from the public sidewalk.

If you would like to stay a while, this is a perfect extended stay. The kitchen is well equipped, there is off street parking, no stairs and there is a washer and dryer.

STANDARD CHECK-IN: arrival time is after 4 p.m. and check out is before 10 a.m. Without a check-in appointment, we cannot guarantee that your Host will be there to greet you and give you a key! Most Vacation Rentals have key boxes. When your balance is paid you will receive the code to the key box to retrieve your key. Make sure that you know the check-in procedure for the unit you have rented.

Payment Policy
RATES & TAX: Some (not all) hosts offer reduced rates during the "off season". Rates listed are for up to 2 people (double occupancy) unless stated otherwise. Rates are subject to change and do not include tax which differs from within the city limits and outside of the city limits. Currently, the tax rate within the city limits is 13.5% and outside the city limits it is 6.5%. A reservation deposit confirms your dates and guarantees no rate increase.

RESERVATION DEPOSITS: A 50% deposit from the total reservation is required at the time the reservation is made. Reservations made within the cancellation period require payment in full. We accept VISA or MasterCard only. The deposit is charged to your account on the date of the reservation. PERSONAL CHECKS may be used for the deposit if received within 7 days of making the reservation. A confirmation of your reservation including host's name, address, phone number, date the balance is due, and driving directions are sent to you when your deposit has been received.

BALANCE DUE: Your balance is due by personal check or money order in full on the date the cancellation period starts. Reservations for stays of 1 to 10 days require payment in full 30 days before you arrive. Reservations for stays of 11 to 30 days requires payment in full 60 days before you arrive. Reservations for stays 31 days or more requires payment in full 90 days before arrival. If payment for the balance has not been received by the due date it will be charged to your credit card with a 3% fee.

CANCELLATIONS: A change of a reservation that reduces the number of days or number of rooms originally reserved is considered a cancellation. A refund will be issued minus a $150 or 4% service charge (whichever is higher) for cancellations made before the cancellation deadline. Cancellation deadlines vary depending on length of stay. Please notify us immediately if you have to cancel. After the cancellation deadline NO REFUNDS are given unless we can rebook the cancelled days.

Reservations for stays of 1 to 10 days require a 30 day notice of cancellation.
