Large and beautifully appointed with an open floor plan perfect for entertaining and socializing- expansive kitchen, custom cabinetry, and high-end appliances make it easy to cook a wonderful meal at home.

You'll sleep well in the large bedrooms fitted with plush linen.

We want to make your trip as easy as possible so we use digital locks on the garage, front HOA door, and condo door. No need to pick up keys or meet a manager... just let yourself in when you are ready.

In the Guidebook, you will find details including a floor plan and room info, amenities, kitchen supplies, and lots more great stuff. We will send you the password to unlock the password-protected access codes 3 days prior to check in.

Although we don't live on site, we are available to you 24/7/365 through text or phone and can be at the condo to help you in minutes in case of an emergency. We have a team of local, professional staff dedicated to making your stay a fabulous one. Don't hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions before, during or after your stay.

The location, which our guests have described as "ideal," is positioned to discover all that Mammoth mountain has to offer with a 5 minute walk to Canyon Lodge's winter slopes & summer hikes and an easy downhill stroll to town. The Gondola to The Village is only steps away. Or take the Mammoth shuttle from the convenient stop next door.

* Located on Lakeview Blvd, a well-plowed, Town-maintained main access to Canyon Lodge
* There are 2 shuttle stops just outside our condo. Look for the #74 and #75 stops. This shuttle runs year around, but with more availability in the winter. Download the "swiftly" app for real-time shuttle schedules for all of Mammoth Lakes.
* The Village Gondola is located at Canyon Lodge, just 200 yards up the hill from our complex. It runs regularly to the Village in the winter and with limited summer hours.
* 2 reserved garage parking spaces are included in your rental.
* In winter, you may be required to carry and/or use snow chains in and around the Sierras (even with 4WD). In some cases, CHP will not allow vehicles to enter the 395 without chains.
* Please do not block the driveway or parking garage entrance.
* No overnight parking on the street.

Todd & Janelle, the owners:
Todd & Janelle have visited Mammoth since they were kids and they remember when Sonenalp was being built. In fact, they had stayed at Sonenalp several times because they knew the builder. When The Charming Chalet came on the market in 2014 they jumped at the chance to purchase it, knowing how special Sonenalp is as compared to other Mammoth properties. When they can't be in town, they offer The Charming Chalet to guests who call it "exceptional," "perfect, and "an oasis in the mountains."

Mary Beth, the manager:
I've been fortunate to live all over the world, but I always love coming home...especially now that one of our homes is in Mammoth Lakes, CA.

I also run a small ranch, Honey in the Rock Ranch in the Mojave Desert of So Cal where we have chickens, peacocks, turkeys, goats --and a Rhodesian Ridgeback rescue who has turned out to be an excellent ranch-protector, herding dog and friend.

I'm a middle school teacher, beekeeper, and mom to four rowdy boys. I've loved the same guy, a test pilot, for 25 years and our life together has been a true adventure.

I'll be your reservation contact for Sonenalp at Canyon Lodge -- before, during and after your stay -- and look forward to working with you!

Booking guest must be 28 years old
Payment Policy
Terms & Conditions:
● 50% of reservation total due at time of booking
● Remaining balance due 30 days prior to check-in
● Failure to pay balance due 25 or less days prior check-in will result in cancellation of reservation without refund.
● A $50 fee will apply for returned checks. Reservation may be cancelled by management without refund.
Refundable Damage Deposit
● Prior to your stay, your credit card will be authorized for refundable damage deposit of
$500.00. Your deposit will be refunded in full provided that: guests do not violate unit
rental rules or policies; the unit, lockers, HOA common areas and contents of these
areas are left in undamaged/like condition; and all keys, parking permits, garage door
openers, locker keys etc. are left in the unit in accordance with check out procedures.
● Violations, incidents requiring staff response, and/or damage will incur charges against
the security deposit (and possibly additional charges to your credit card in excess of the
$500 deposit) as necessary. You hereby agree to secure the unit against any and all
damage by you or your guests during the time of your stay, and authorize Mary Beth
Ericson to use your security deposit or credit card for that purpose.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations:
● Full refund if guest cancels more than 30 days prior to check in.
● Full refund if guest cancels less than 30 days prior and management is able to re-rent
property at the same rate. A fee of $150 will also apply.
● Full refund if property becomes unavailable prior to occupancy. Guest agrees to release
any claims against manager in that case.
● Guest forfeits all payments if guest cancels less than 30 days prior to check and we are
not able to re-rent the property.
Notes
● Guests must agree to and sign complete rental contract.
● Guests are liable for any and all damages to the property, common area, hot tub, sauna,
furnishings, equipment and household items that occurred during their stay whether it is caused by the guest, pet(s), or any invitee of the guest.
● Please report any problems with your unit or damages found immediately.
● Any damages, mailed guest items, cleaning costs, etc. will be charged against the credit card on file and/or against the security deposit held
House Rules
* Check-in is 4 pm. Check out is 10 am.

* Please be respectful of the quiet, upscale vibe in our HOA community. Limit noise after 9 pm and before 8 am.
* 6 persons max in the hot tub at a time.
* No unsupervised children in the hot tub or sauna at any time.
* No smoking or vaping in or around the condo or on the balconies.
* For safety and the need to snowplow, do not park in the driveway. The Town of Mammoth does not allow overnight parking in our neighborhood. 2 cars only in the garage, please.
* Pets allowed only with prior approval of management. A fee of $200, required by our HOA, will apply. You must agree to pet rules.
* Due to Town of Mammoth occupancy rules, no unregistered guests permitted.
* For safety and security of guests, Sonenalp common areas (garage, balconies, foyers, stairwell, exterior) are monitored by real-time, cloud-hosted video surveillance.

* Violation of any house rule, violation of law, or nuisance to community (including guests in excess of reserved number) may result in immediate termination of your reservation. Guests will be required to depart the premises immediately and no refund will be issued.
* Violation of smoking restrictions, leaving of pet waste or other excessive cleaning or maintenance issue will result in a $500 fee.
* You are responsible for the behavior of guests in your party. Costs for damage, need for excessive cleaning/repair, or theft from our home or HOA building/grounds will be deducted from your security deposit; costs in excess of the security deposit will result in additional charges.
