Slope-View Modern Loft: Easy Access to Vail Village
561 Sqft Loft hosted by Greg
4 Guests . 1 Bedroom . 1 Bathroom

Overview

Redecorated sunny loft with a view of Vail ski trails through floor-to-ceiling windows. Easy access to Vail Village, the ski mountain, hiking trails, restaurants, nightlife, shopping, and FUN.
Fully-equipped kitchen, including espresso machine.
Free parking + Free town bus that runs until 2am - you could park your car and not drive for your whole vacation, if you wanted to!

During warmer months, relax with a cup of coffee or refreshing adult beverage on the mountain-view balcony.

Recently renovated and redecorated, this modern mountain loft will be your home in West Vail with a great open feel. High ceilings and the south-facing windows provide lots of natural light and views of the slopes of Vail Resort.
The bistro table set on the balcony is great for relaxing with a drink or snack during the warmer months, while looking out at Vail mountain.

THE BEDROOM is the upstairs loft:
→ Queen Bed with memory foam mattress
→ Views out to the slopes of Vail.
→ Hardwood floors

→ Sleeper Sofa for additional sleeping down in the living room:
equivalent to a full-size bed (it's as long as a queen, but as wide as a full; 80"x55"). This sleeper sofa is not like a typical pull-out couch; it's actually quite comfortable, with no springs to cause pressure points. As a bed, it's on the firm side, so I've provided a memory foam mattress topper, in case you prefer your bed to be a bit softer.

BATH
For a spa-like experience, the walk-in slate tile shower is equipped with a luxurious rain shower head.

KITCHEN
Let your inner chef out: the kitchen is equipped with a basic assortment of cooking tools: pots, pans, knives, cutting boards, measuring cups/spoons, a toaster, blender, etc.

→ Coffee-Lovers: there is a Nespresso machine with aeroccino so that you can enjoy a nice espresso beverage in the morning with frothed milk. When I'm in town I keep a small assortment of coffee pods available, but if I've been gone for a while and many guests have stayed, I can't guarantee that there will still be pods available, so bring your own if you have favorites (the machine takes the original style Nespresso pods).

ENTERTAINMENT
There is a TV hung on the wall, with a Roku attached. It's set up with Netflix, HBO Go, and an assortment of other streaming channels (FX NOW, FOX NOW, ESPN, ABC, A&E, History Channel, CNN, Disney Channel, Disney XD, Disney Junior, ABC News, and PBS, to name a few).
Please note that there isn't cable/satellite service here (but who has time for TV when there's so much to do outside!).

Full use of the condo and free parking for 1 vehicle on-site.

This is my home away from home, and when I'm not using it, I want guests to feel like it's their home too. So, pre-arrival I'll provide you with all pertinent information via email, phone, or messages in order to get you to the condo and settled in. After that, I'm available by phone/SMS, messages and email, should you have questions or concerns.

Everything you need is close by:
→ two grocery stores (Safeway and City Market),
→ liquor stores
→ world-class restaurants in Vail Village and Lionshead
→ ski lifts/gondola
→ hiking (on Vail mountain, the North Trail just up the street, or any of the other great trails in Vail)
→ Mountain Biking (Vail has a great downhill trail system during the summer)
→ Fly Fishing
→ the list goes on and on...Vail is an awesome place to visit for outdoor activities, culture, and nightlife.

...all within 3-10 minutes via the free bus or car.

A car isn't necessary when staying here, thanks to the great bus system, but if you prefer the flexibility of a car, there is free parking for 1 car at the condo (non-assigned, so just use any open spot).

→ Free Town of Vail Sanstone bus line:
Fast and easy access to all of the great skiing/riding, shopping, restaurants and activities in Vail Village and Lionshead. You can even text your stop number to find out when the next bus is scheduled to arrive so that you don't stand at the stop in the cold very long.
The bus runs all day, from early morning to late night; Sandstone Creek Club stop is just steps from the condo property on Vail View Drive - the bus will get you to Vail Village in approximately 5-8 minutes.

Note that the bus schedule does vary depending on the season. During ski season, buses run every 20-30 minutes. During summer, spring and fall, buses run every 1 to 2 hours. For the most up-to-date schedules, visit the Town of Vail's website or ask for a paper bus schedule on the bus or at the Vail Transportation Center.

Once in the village, you can catch the ECO (Eagle County) bus to go elsewhere in the Valley. For example, Beaver Creek ski area, Eagle County Airport, Wal-Mart in Avon, etc. Note: Unlike Town of Vail's free in-town bus, ECO bus service to neighboring towns is not free, but is inexpensive.

Walking: there is a pedestrian bridge across I-70 (the highway that gets you to Vail from Denver) not too far from my condo that will get you to Lionshead village. It's a nice walk (~1 mile/20 minutes), but not ideal when carrying skis, so I'd stick with bus or car if you're carrying equipment.

The condo's WiFi can be slow during really busy times, so please just be aware of that.

House Rules
This is my home for part of the year, so I expect my guests to also treat it like their home; with care and respect. Full details of rental policies will be included in the rental agreement (a rental agreement must be signed by guest and valid photo ID provided, in order to complete reservation). Here is a summary: Check-in time: 4 PM Check-out time: 11 AM No pets are allowed, per the bylaws of the condo association. No exceptions. No parties or events. Minimum age to rent is 21. No smoking of any kind in the condo. If you must smoke, go for a walk up the street, since smoking outside the building will still cause smoke to go into windows and doors of other units. Do not bring any smoking paraphernalia into the condo. Dispose of your cigarettes, cigars, bongs, etc. in the dumpster at the top of the driveway (NOT the trash cans in the condo). The smell of these items will get into the walls, furniture, carpets, etc. and is not easy to remove. If additional cleaning is required in order to remove smells, the costs will be charged to you (renter). Remove shoes, boots, etc. prior to entering the condo. There is a nice rack outside the condo to hang skis and a nook just inside the door for boots, bags, etc. Do not lean skis/snowboards against the wall! (it adds scuffs and scrapes off the paint) Please either store skis outside, in your vehicle, on the deck, carefully in the closet, or on the floor under the stairs. If you use the fireplace, you are expected to know how to safely and properly use a fireplace (open the flue before lighting a fire, close it after the fire is out). DO NOT leave a fire unattended. Be sure all flames and embers have completely extinguished before going to bed or leaving the loft. Finally, you must empty the fireplace after use. If the cleaners have to spend a lot of extra time on the fireplace, they will charge extra for their time and the cost will be passed on to you (renter). Only those guests included on the reservation may stay in the condo. If your group makeup should change after your reservation, immediately update the host. Quiet hours: since there are year-round residents living in this building who have to wake up for work in the morning, please respect the neighbors and keep noise to a minimum after 10pm. Do not engage in illegal activities anywhere on the property. (This should go without saying, but I just to be clear…)
