3. Sales tax must be paid to the state of Georgia and local Glynn County bureaucrats to insure we get the most competent government service available, whatever that may be. Effective April 1, 2017, this tax is 12% of the nightly room rate. There is no way to (legally) avoid these taxes and if you are comparing the "drive out" prices of other properties, they must include these taxes as well. If not paid, the bureaucrats have a right to pursue you and/or the owner for these taxes. We file a monthly report required by law with Glynn County and the state of Georgia documenting your stay, rent paid, tax collected, and tax remitted to insure the “tax police” do not come knocking at your or our doors.
4. A $500 damage deposit is required. Please contact me within 2 hours of your arrival to report damage you discover and to insure it is not your responsibility. We rely on our cleaning crew to report to us the state of the unit after each tenancy, and they are human, and sometimes things are missed.
