Pilot’s Perch utilizes an two exterior surveillance cameras for security reasons. They are unable to capture any interior images or any images on either deck. One is located on the front porch by the front door for the surveillance of entrances and exits of the cabin through the front door, possible wild life on the front porch and weather observations. The other is located by the garage door for surveillance of entrances and exits of the cabin through the garage door, possible wild life and weather observations.

About Tannya & Blake Hughes

We honeymooned at “Pilot’s Perch” when we were married in April 2014. We so enjoyed our time here, and were so relaxed and refreshed after our stay, that we knew we would have to come back some time. That return visit happened in November 2017. During our stay this second time, we were presented with the most wonderful opportunity of potentially purchasing “Pilot’s Perch” log cabin as our very own personal vacation home in the Blue Ridge Mountains. How cool is that?!?! We thought it would be very cool to own the place where we honeymooned!!! We were very excited about this opportunity and began extensive conversations with the then owners of “Pilot’s Perch”, Clint and Roxanne. Since we loved “Pilot’s Perch” so much, we decided to make it our very own home away from home. It has given us much joy to make this purchase and we are looking forward to having such a quiet and peaceful place we can go to and get away from all the stress of our normal, daily lives and relax and unwind. We are looking forward to making many beautiful, new and happy memories at the cabin. We are blessed to be able to share “Pilot’s Perch” with you and hope you will enjoy the cabin as much as we do and make many beautiful, new and happy memories here as well. The cabin is beautifully furnished and decorated with all the conveniences of home, but we will continue to update and add amenities to enhance our guests' mountain log cabin experience. You will find the only negative thing about 'Pilot’s Perch' is having to leave it to go home.

There is a keyless entry system on the front door of the cabin. You will be given a code that will lock and unlock the door during the days of your rental. We do try to accommodate early check-ins and/or late check-outs when our cleaning, maintenance and guest schedules allow. Please discuss with Owner a possible early/late check-in/check-out. The keyless entry system is guest specific and every entry and exit of the cabin is time-stamped. Violations of the check-in/check-out policy will result in an immediate forfeiture of your entire Security Deposit unless prior approval from Owner is obtained.

I will also accept personal checks if proper identification is provided and received at least 45 days prior to your Reservation. Bank checks are also accepted if timely mailed or overnighted to Owner.

50% of Total Reservation Amount (not including Security Deposit) is due at time of the Reservation. The remaining 50% and Security Deposit is due 45 days prior to your Reservation. If Reservation is made within 45 days of your Stay, 100% of the Reservation Amount and Security Deposit is due. Reservations paid with a credit card will have an added Administrative Fee of 3% of the Total Reservation Amount added to the Total Reservation Amount.

Refundable Damage Deposit
The Security/Damage Deposit is refunded to you as soon as my housekeeper or I have been to the cabin and it is determined that no damage has been made to the cabin and/or property, inside or out, and nothing is missing from the cabin and/or property.
Cancellation Policy
Cancelled bookings will not receive a refund unless I am able to re-reserve the nights of your stay. If I am able to re-reserve all or a portion of the nights of your reservation for the exact same price, I will refund you for the nights I was able to re-reserve.

**Reservation is Not Finalized Until Signed, Initialed Reservation Agreement and Photo ID Is Received by Owner and Owner has had opportunity to Personally Speak with Potential Guest on the phone.**
