Enjoy this cabin located at the base of Bald Mountain, just minutes from Georgia’s most beautiful areas. Get ready to be surrounded by beautiful mountains and Lake Chatuge, a TVA lake with more than 100 miles of shoreline. Visitors can enjoy boating, fishing, waterskiing, swimming, and camping. Famous as the home of the Georgia's highest peak, Brasstown Bald, Hiawassee is full of gorgeous mountain scenery and recreation opportunities.
Our cozy 2BR/1BA metal roof cabin overlooks a rushing creek, where you can enjoy your morning coffee in the screened back porch, surrounded by 1.5+ acres of wooded forests, mountain laurels, and wildlife. The large covered front porch has 2 rocking chairs that face the paved circular driveway for easy parking and backing out.
Inside, the main level has NO television (gasp!) but you'll enjoy the boho decor and open floor plan that allows you to connect with your loved ones through a variety of board games, cards, and puzzles. There's even a karaoke microphone that you can connect to the Alexa and hold your own sing-off!
We have a queen bed in the master bedroom, a full-size bed and twin trundle in the second bedroom, and a queen sofa sleeper in the basement. A queen air mattress is also available so the cabin can comfortably sleep 6-7 people. We have a pack-n-play and small highchair for your wee-ones and there is a fenced area on the side of the cabin for Fido (we <3 our pets!)
The basement has the only smart TV, foosball and air hockey tables, and an electronic dartboard! The two propane fireplaces (upstairs and down) are available October through March when the winter chill arrives.
Our cabin is rustic but stocked with everything you need to leave relaxed, renewed, and refreshed. We provide you with kitchen condiments (ketchup, mustard, salt/pepper, spices, oil), coffee, bathroom basics (shampoo/conditioner/body wash, toilet paper), and your first bundle of firewood (4-6 pieces). All you need to bring is your clothes, a toothbrush, and your sense of adventure!
