Welcome to No 31 an award winning Pet free 2 bedroom self catering holiday home for 4 in Belper, Derbyshire on the edge of The Peak District National Park. We’re perfect for visiting Bakewell, Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and for walking in the peaks.

Situated in lovely Belper with stunning views over looking the town, tranquil and relaxing Our house sits in a very quiet no through road and offers an ideal and perfect location in the heart of Derbyshire.

Explore the hills and dales of both Derbyshire and The Peak District from our lovely holiday home, with spectacular views of the Amber Valley just round the corner behind the house, ideal for an evenings walk and watch the sun go down with a picnic and wine. Perfect for cyclists and site seeing.

The historic town of Belper located in the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site, Strutts North Mill has UNESCO status, a short walk from the mill are the RHS Britain in Bloom Gold award winning Belper River Gardens these unique riverside gardens have been offering visitors a tranquil setting to view the River Derwent for over 100 years they include:

Bandstand with concerts at the weekends
The site for the Well Dressings which are unique to Derbyshire.
This beautiful town has lots to offer visitors, it sits on the edge of the Derbyshire Dales and the Peak District National Park and is a winner of the Great British High Street Awards.

Enjoy the stunning local scenery, visitor attractions, excellent eateries and pubs and enjoy endless things to do and places to go. The fantastic range of local restaurants and pubs will provide an endless choice of great food, it also has a fully restored small independent Cinema with its sumptuous viewing sofas is known for its blockbusters and arty/live stage films streamed from theatres and shows country wide, it also offers a bar service or tea and cakes.

Belper is becoming well known as a destination for foodies with regular Food and Real Ale Festivals in the town center showcasing the towns and areas talented artisans also a gateway to a thriving Arts and crafts society with many a festival going on throughout the year, it also has and a monthly farmers market every second Saturday of the month.

We are only a short drive to Crich Tramway Village Museum, Heage Working Windmill, Carsington Water, Chatsworth Estate, Matlock Bath, the world famous Denby Potteries and the scenic limestone dales of the southern Peak National Park, ideal for cyclists, also very near to the High Peak & Tissington trails.

There are a number of local cycle hire places in the area and they will deliver to the house. We also have a huge selection of tourist leaflets of information on attractions in the area.
books, games and a lots cycling, walking guides to the area are in the bookcase.

WE LET BY THE WEEK - regrettably no short breaks are available. No Pets, Non Smoking Property.

All guests receive a generous welcome pack and flowers, this pack includes 4 pts milk, Thorntons Chocolates/Biscuits, Jam, Artisan filter Coffee and a bottle of wine. A special hamper is given at Christmas time.

The house has 2 bedrooms and sleeps 4 + 1 Baby cot is a full size travel one, bedding and highchair provided this is made up and situated in the main bedroom when requested.

Main guest room:-
Sleeps two and has a very comfortable (as said by our guests) king sized bed. All 100% cotton bedding with a Goose feather and down duvet, Christy 100% cotton towels are included. 2 wardrobes, chest of drawers, bedside cabinets, lamps, dressing table, mirror and stool, chair, hair dryer. full length wall mirror. Privacy blinds. Views of Belper town

Second guest room:-
Sleeps two and has a very comfortable (as said by our guests) double bed. All 100% cotton bedding with a Goose feather and down duvet, Christy 100% cotton towels are included. Chest of drawers, bedside cabinets, lamps, mirrors, hairdryer, Privacy blinds.
Please note the wardrobes are all in the main bedroom. Views of Belper town.

We take our cleanliness very seriously at No 31, Mattress and Pillow protectors are changed after each and every guests stay.
Every effort is made to ensure your stay is one you will want to repeat. Quality bed linens, Goose feather and down duvets (Hypoallergenic duvets available on request) and Christy fluffy towels, The White Company toiletries are all part of the pleasure of a stay at No 31 plus plenty of little extra thoughtful touches.

The bathroom has a power shower over a low height bath. Sink and toilet. Toilet rolls and hand soaps provided.

Our Beautiful house is perfect for a holiday away any time of the year with family and friends, ideal for families, the house is very child friendly with a secure gated area and at the back around the corner from the house is a secure children's play area with swings and slides.

Hall
There is ample space for wet coats, muddy boots, brollies and hats in the dedicated hall storage area.
There are Walking poles, rucksacks, Thermos flasks and a Picnic rucksack that has plates, glasses, cutlery and a wine cooler are also available for guests to use.

Kitchen
There is a fully equipped kitchen to a high standard with everything from Denby crockery as standard, electric double oven and hob, a new washer/dryer, flat bed microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer. cutlery, iron and ironing board, radio and more.
A variety of extras including sugar, Coffee, fruit teas, herbal teas, hot chocolate, decaff coffee and decaff tea, washing up liquid, toilet rolls, soap, washing machine liquid and softener and dishwasher tablets, kitchen roll along with condiments, cling film, bin bags, foil and lots of other items are also included as standard.
From the kitchen there is access straight into the fully enclosed private child friendly south facing garden.

Living/dining room
Ample living space with plenty of seating on our 2 luxurious leather sofas for four people and includes a 40" flat wide screen TV with digital Freeview, (not Sky) a DVD player. Iphone charger/speaker system. CD/radio stereo. The dining area seats 4 has a view of our beautiful enclosed sunny garden.

Garden
Guest can make use of the private south facing garden with its pretty country cottage flower borders, which is fully enclosed with a dry stone wall at the end of the garden, not over looked by anyone, this is very child friendly there is a small fence and gate by the kitchen.
It is the perfect spot for a pre-dinner drink as the sun goes down or even an al fresco dinner in summer on the patio, table and chairs provided on a sunny terrace. Gas Barbecue facilities are provided.
There is an available outdoor space (lockable shed) to store cycles and other outdoor equipment. There is a washing line and a rotary dryer for guests use.

Driveway
Private drive ample parking for two cars and room on the road out front for two more.
This is a cul-de-sac (no through road) so there is no through traffic just residents and the odd horse or two.

Hi i'm Tracey the owner and manager of No 31 i do everything from bookings, cleaning to meeting and greeting you in person.
After being in the business of providing quality holiday accommodation for some time, we know a thing or two about how to make your stay special and we go the extra mile. I've traveled extensively so i know what guests need, I've had careers as a civil servant in the Government for 22 years and i also worked in the Marketing/product buying sector. As you can see i love taking photos these are all mine so please don't borrow any without asking.
We love Derbyshire and always have.
We always meet and greet our guests in person. Why? Because we believe in giving our guests a warm Derbyshire welcome and the personal touch, rather than an anonymous key safe plus we're friendly and like to meet our guests.
Even though we have an information folder filled with everything to make your stay a fab one, we like run through things, it makes your holiday easier by not having to worry about how something works. We're always on hand if you need assistance in any way, we're just a phone call away, equally we value your privacy so unless you contact us we keep a low profile.
Our main aim is to keep you happy. Holidays are vital and should be about special and treasured memories with loved ones and friends.

Getting around

There is also a bus route stopping at the end of the road these run every 30 minutes before 9am then hourly thereafter, you can also catch the bus up to the property as the bus station is not far from the Train station.
If you are traveling by train or bus to Belper, I can arrange transportation from town. Please let me know before arriving.
NB~ Maps of how to find the house will be sent once the final payment is received.

Nottingham (East Midlands) Airport is only 30 – 40 minutes down the road.
Midland Rail – Belper Station is 5 minutes by car or taxi, but can be walked to in about 15 – 20 minutes.
