Welcome to Aberdeen Mills-a 40 acre farm and grist mill! Make some memories at this unique and family-friendly place - The Miller's Cottage, built in 1770.

You will be staying in the 1774 Miller’s Cottage where the private porch overlooks a green pasture, large creek and grist mill. The first floor has a comfortable living room, well equipped kitchen and dining table. Two bedrooms on the second floor and a common area Queen size bed accommodate a total of 6 people (including adults and children). The master bedroom has a king sized bed and a door to the bathroom. The second bedroom has 2 twin sized beds. There is one full bath on the second floor with shower (no tub).

Enjoy total privacy or join us on our morning chores, feeding the animals and gathering fresh eggs. During the day, cross the bridge over the creek to get not the beautifully maintained Conewago Recreation Trail where you can walk or ride bikes. Use one of the fire pits on the property to start a fire and roast some s'mores, hot dogs or make popcorn. Walk the trail through the property and enjoy the cool shade. Pack a picnic and sit in the picnic area, play games in the yard, snooze in a hammock, meditate by the creek or just swing on the porch swing.

Our farm is a relaxing spot for you and your family to return to after a day of seeing the sites or visiting Hershey Park. Walking/biking trails across the creek. Our rural setting is a relaxing spot to stay after a day of seeing the sites or visiting Hershey Park just 15 minutes away. We are 10 minutes to the train station which will take you to all the surrounding major cities - DC, NY, Philly for a day trip too!

Check-In. Check in time is 4PM EST on the day Guest’s scheduled reservation begins. No early check-ins without prior consent of the Owner. Luggage drop off is offered with prior notice if you would like to do this. You are welcome to enjoy the grounds (no building access) until your check in time. Please confirm with us any later check in time needed. You will be sent a key code for the door once you check in on property. Key Procedure. You will be given your personal key code at the time of check in.This code is changed for each guest.

*No shoes in house - So much dirt and - let's just say it - poop on a farm!
*No pets - Out of respect for future guests and the safety of the farm animals
*No smoking - Come breath the fresh country air and let all the living things here do the same :)
*Do not enter building without your host - We are more than happy to give you an "official" tour for free during your stay
*If you open a gate - close a gate
*Children under 14 years old MUST be accompanied by an adult at all times when interacting with animals or exploring the farm. There is a creek and original mill race that can pose safety concerns for young children.
*There is only a standing shower for guests, however, I can provide a baby bath, high chair, pack and play and baby gate for your convenience - just let me know
*No parties - Let us recommend an attraction nearby where you can get your groove on!
*Before you leave a fire pit be sure to douse the flame
*No loud noises between 11PM - 8AM - Hear those crickets?
*No extra guests beyond those included in the reservation
*Please be kind to our animals - They will love you for it (and so will we)!

Refundable Damage Deposit
SECURITY/DAMAGE AGREEMENT
Security Deposit. A security deposit of $ 300 has been deposited with the Property Owner. The deposit covers any damages to the rental property and its furnishings caused by the Guests. Owner may use all or part of the security deposit to repair any damage by the Guests. Should the damage amount exceed the amount of the deposit, the Guests remains liable for the balance.
Damage and Breakage. Please take care of our properties. No drinks, except water, is allowed in the bedrooms. No shoes worn in the rental. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. Please report these as soon as they occur. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may send you an invoice for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant, and we may make an additional charge should the damage prevent future bookings being taken while repairs are undertaken.
Extra Cleaning. Rental Property should be left in the same condition as originally found. Any undue or unreasonable cleaning necessary as a result of the Guest’s stay will result in a cleaning charge assessment of $ 60 per hour, with a one (1) hour service minimum.
Return of Security Deposit. Security Deposit will be returned within 7 business days after check out and the Owner inspection is complete. Damages, missing items and extra cleaning will be assessed. If any monies from the security deposit will be retained due to those circumstances you will receive notification within 3 business days from check out and the amount needed to cover the costs incurred. Any remaining monies after that will be returned to you at that time.

Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel for any reason after receipt of your reservation, your rental fees cannot be refunded, unless the short-term residential rental is re-rented for the same period of time. If the residential rental is re-rented, you will receive monies paid less an administration fee of $100. It is recommended to get Travel Insurance to cover any losses you may incur.
