Sunshine Cottage on Crystal Beach is just a short walk to the beach. Relax with the whole family in this cozy beach house!
Linens furnished and beds are made. Excellent Location, close to restaurants and market (The Big Store) on Bolivar. 5-minute walk to the beach.
This home has it all! 2 bedrooms 1.5 bath, fully equipped kitchen, with both Keurig and drip style coffee and tea kettle, outside grill, hammock, giant Jenga, Beach gear, hot tub, smart TVs and wifi.
Sleep 5-6 and baby items available upon request.

This home has it all! 2 bedrooms 1.5 bath, fully equipped kitchen, with both Keurig and drip style coffee and tea kettle, Fire pit, Hammock, Hot tub, Ceramic grill, out door dining, giant Jenga, smart TVs and Wifi.
Sleep 5-6 and baby items (pack n' play, portable high chair, sit me up, bath bloom, baby monitor) available upon request.
Beach gear available as well; chairs, child life vests, beach toys, fat boy air lounger and more!
2 security cameras in place for added safety! one facing the driveway and one facing the front door.

Getting Around:
If you're flying in Houston Hobby Airport is the closest, about 1h45min. 2 ways to come to Bolivar, our kids favorite is on the ferry from Galveston! Look out to the south and there's a good chance you'll see dolphins!!!

You can also come to the peninsula from I-10 via 124 and stop off at Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge, 37,000 acres dedicated to conservation of the natural habit of costal animals!

Once you're on the Peninsula, there are plenty of places to get anything you may have left behind. The Big store has it all, groceries, toiletries, beach gear, and even a hardware store! They also sell beer and wine.. If you're looking for liquor there is a drive thru right across the freeway from our Road, you don't even have to get out of your car!

During the summer months there is a water park within walking distance! the Kids will love this!

If you want a quick and easy way to get around while you're enjoying your stay, visit Golf Car Connection to rent a Golf cart, also within walking distance.

Remember, Crystal Beach is a drive on beach, if you decide to drive on the beach make sure you get a sticker. You can pick these up from most stores and real estate agencies on Bolivar, as well as the Chamber of Commerce, 1750 Hwy 87 in Crystal Beach.

My Family and I love the beach and when the opportunity presented itself to us to own our own piece of paradise, we jumped on it. We would love to share our home with you!

House Rules

Please treat the home as if it were your own.
*Please Do Not get into the hot tub with sand on your clothes or body. If coming from the beach please rinse off first with the hose. There will be a $200 extra cleaning fee if there is sand in the Hot tub. The sand will damage the motor and make it unavailable for future guests.
Please also always keep the lid secure on the Hot Tub when not in use, this keeps the temperature Warm and is a huge safety feature. we don't want anyone accidentally getting into the tub unattended.

* No smoking inside the unit, including vapes. This is a non-smoking property. There will be a $250 fee if there is any smoking in the unit. You are welcome to smoke downstairs.

* Items such as bed linen, towels, blankets, kitchen utensils, and all other support items are available for guests to use and support their stay. They are not gifts and must be kept in the home at the end of the stay, being subject to a fee per item that is inadvertently missing or damaged.

** If you break something by accident, please report it immediately so we can assess what happened. Accidents do happen and can be forgiven avoiding extra fees

* Some basic kitchen, cleaning, and laundry supplies such as coffee, sugar, spices, oils, etc., may be available and can be used by guests, but they are not mandatory for your stay. If you need additional consumables, please refer to the list of points of interest or the nearest markets.

* If there are small children in the accommodation, please utilize the gate at the top of the stairs. please always use extra caution on the stairs hold small children's hands and always watch them. Monkhouse Road can get busy.

*Liability: While using the beach home, you assume all risks associated. There are 2 security cameras in place, 1 faces the driveway and the other the front door. If any damage to house occurs, you will be responsible for cost associated with repairing and/or replacing. Owner is not responsible for any accidents or injuries during you stay. Owner is not responsible for damage or loss of the renter's personal property.

* Please do not leave windows or outside doors open for an extended period of time. The humid salt air is corrosive to anything metal inside the house and the AC will keep the house from being humid.

* Please do not flush anything other than toilet paper. Please discard all waste in trash cans and not down the sink (there is no disposal as required by the city). We have a septic tank which will get backed up if not.

* Please do not grill or start a fire on the wood patio decks as it is a fire hazard.

* Please respect check-in and check-out times.

* Please take the trash out before you leave. (Trash collecting day is every Tuesday and Friday)

* WiFi use is limited to legal uses. No illegal downloads, P2P, or BitTorrents on the house network.

* We STRICTLY reinforce that no parties or events are allowed.

* No unregistered guests on-premises. Sunshine Cottage at Crystal Beach is for the exclusive rights of the guests. You have to register potential visitors and they will count for the maximum occupancy.

* No illegal substances are allowed on the premises.

* No high school or college parties including graduation and prom parties
