Overview

This Hickory Tree House in Palmer is a spacious home located in the heart of the beautiful Mat-Su Valley halfway between Palmer and Wasilla. With 4 bedrooms and 2 living areas, there is plenty of room for larger families or groups to gather comfortably. The large windows allow plenty of natural light and the views abound. Sitting on over 4 acres of private wooded land, you may get lucky and experience the local wildlife in their natural habitat.

Location
The home is located in a quiet established neighborhood just off a main highway and a short drive to shopping or dining in Palmer or Wasilla.

The Home
The main living space offers large windows that fill the space with natural light and is the perfect gathering place to relax. The full kitchen offers a large refrigerator, gas range for cooking up a meal, dishwasher, and a large island for prep space. Adjacent is a large dining table with seating for 8+, including a bench. The living room has plenty of seating for guests to relax and is comfortable and cozy. There are 2 bedrooms on the main level, one of which has a King bed with access by french doors to the upper deck, plus a shared bathroom with double sinks and a large shower with two showerheads. The second bedroom on the main level features two twin beds.

The walk-out basement features two more bedrooms plus a workspace with a desk, lounge area, and a Kid's Corner complete with a bean bag, a few toys, books, and games. The french doors leading to the lower deck allow plenty of natural light to grace the second living space that includes a queen sofa bed. There is a second full bathroom with double vanities, a large walk-in shower, and jetted tub. A full-size washer & dryer is available for guest use.

Amenities Include
Free Wi-Fi, full size washer & dryer, iron & ironing board, hair dryer, complimentary shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, linens & towels, ceiling fans, plus a floor fan in each bedroom. We supply a Keurig coffeemaker with complimentary k-cups..

We welcome your well-behaved and non-aggressive domesticated pet as well as being a child-friendly home to include a Kid's Corner in the basement that includes a few toys, games, and books.

While we are a child-friendly home, please note that the home is not completely baby-proof due to the fact that there is a staircase leading to the lower level, a fireplace in the main living area, mirrored glass closet doors, no outlet covers, etc. Please use your best judgment as to whether you feel the home is appropriate for your family.

The gravel driveway has ample parking for as many as 5 vehicles.

Guest access

Cameras installed around the property include 1 Ring doorbell on the garage door (not a guest space), 1 Ring floodlight camera for security purposes at the main guest entrance, and 1 Ring floodlight camera for security purposes over the garage doors. They are all on and recording 24/7/365.

Please note: There are beds to sleep 8 people comfortably plus a Queen Sofa Bed that can sleep another 2 persons. The home can sleep 10 people max.

We welcome longer term stays, travel nurses, military families relocating, and the such. We also welcome families who need temporary housing due to insurance claims. Please reach out to us!

We are a family-friendly home and have a child play area set up in the basement. For safety, please bring your personal sleeping and feeding items with you. While we are a family-friendly home, please understand the home is not completely baby proof as there isn't a baby gate installed on the stairway, a fireplace in the main living area, mirrored glass closet doors, etc..

Ample parking in the gravel driveway for a max of 5 cars. No street parking allowed. Lawn maintenance is performed bi-weekly during the growing season. Please do not park on the lawn. The refuse company empties the dumpster bi-weekly, please do not park in front of or block the dumpster.

This is a 2-story home with stairs to the basement as well as stairs up to the home on the exterior.

The home is equipped with an electronic door lock with a code for self check in. Check-in hours are flexible AFTER 4 pm, no early check-in is allowed. Check-out is no later than 11 am. Unfortunately, due to our cleaners schedules we oftentimes cannot allow for an early check-in or late check out.

Payment Policy
50% of the total due at time of booking, remaining 50% due 14 days prior to arrival. If booking less than 30 days prior to travel, full payment due at the time of booking.
Refundable Damage Deposit
Seven (7) days prior to check-in a hold will be placed on your credit card for a damage deposit. Upon checkout and confirmation from our cleaning crew that no damage has occurred, this hold will be released. We schedule our cleanings to occur the same day as check-out. Damage deposit holds are released no later than five (5) days after check-out.

Cancellation Policy
Strict Cancellation Policy
Guests must cancel more than 30 days prior to check in to receive a full refund, minus processing fees. Once dates are booked by a Guest they are taken off the market and become unavailable to other renters. Under Owner discretion, Owner may allow a cancellation with the intent of offering a refund if the home is rebooked by another Guest. Guest must cancel the reservation before the Owner will try to rebook the dates. Otherwise if a cancellation happens with less than 30 days prior to check-in, only the cleaning fee will be refunded, minus processing fee.
