❤️ Enjoy nature & sea at the Orangery
Cabin hosted by Robert
5 Guests . 2 Bedrooms . 1 Bathroom

Just a minute walk to the beach, the Orangery welcomes you with comfort and a touch of luxury in a cozy and romantic setting.

The beautiful surroundings with water, islands and nature reserves offer true quality of life with many leisure possibilities!

Enjoy panoramic ocean views and sunsets from inside, the large south-west facing terrace or child-friendly beach that is within 100 m.

Bed linen, towels and tea towels are provided and the beds are made on arrival.

The Orangery is located near a sandy beach at the west side of a peaceful peninsula: in the beautiful archipelago of Karlskrona, a World Heritage site in the south of Sweden. Its architecture can be described as a modern take on the elegant classic orangeries from past centuries. Its original curved shape and stylish interior with views all around make it a perfect place when looking for a new angle on life.

The comfortable four poster pergola bed adds a touch of romance and garden atmosphere. Extra large dual king size 181 x 210 cm, motorized and individually adjustable with remote control. Allergy friendly bedding. Living the dream and watching movies from bed has never been easier and more enjoyable. Once you step in, you might not want to come out again!

There's lots of natural light from south-west facing windows, while the plants, underfloor heating and optimal insulation provide a pleasant and healthy experience: from summer to winter. Plants are growing in hydro-culture (as used in office spaces) and require therefore only little maintenance.

The windows have remote controlled blinds for adjusting sunlight, or total privacy at the touch of a button.

Dimmable LED lighting lets you create exactly the atmosphere you want.

What about a cozy dinner by candlelight near the wood burning stove? Or perhaps during warmer days a barbecue at the terrace near the natural swimming pond? Breathe the sweet smell of wild honeysuckle that grows right beside and hear the birds singing. With some luck you can say hello to a deer passing by!

The large curved terrace provides an ideal and private setting for enjoying the sunshine or shade with comfortable garden furniture and a dining table for 6 people.

A surround sound system makes watching movies an experience to look forward to! In-wall and ceiling speakers, Home Theater PC with a.o. Netflix and Spotify.

Have fun playing vinyl music records on a genuine vintage turntable! We have a few hundred LP albums and singles to choose from. (Your host worked at various radio stations as DJ and engineer.) If you have some old records laying around, just bring some with you :)

We promise that even rainy days will put a smile on your face :)

Bed linen, towels and tea towels are provided and the beds are made on arrival.

All essential appliances for a comfortable stay are provided.
A variety of pots and pans so you can whip up dinner for the family, a romantic meal for two, or save money by eating at home before going out.

Fast fiber internet and WiFi, with TV/video streaming available.

Guests are free to enjoy the Orangery's Netflix subscription on 55" and 40" screens: watch anything you want from comfortable relaxing chairs or bed!

You'll find instant coffee, a selection of teabags, sugar, pepper and salt.
There's dry firewood to light up the wood burning stove.

We have a high chair with children's tableware, various games, dolls, stuffed animals and toys including a kids kitchen cooking set.

A stable adjustable shower stool is also provided.

Try our new aluminium motorboat: great for exploring the beautiful archipelago or fishing!

The Orangery is a private, detached property with its own entrance.

All amenities inside, the terrace, beach and sea are easily accessible, also for wheelchairs. Two cars can be parked right beside.

New for 2019: a separate en-suite for additional guests or multiple families, providing ultimate privacy and flexibility. Just contact the host for more information.

Please note that out of respect for guests suffering from allergies, pets or smoking are not allowed inside.

If guests need support we are always available and happy to help!
We welcome guests personally to ensure they arrive well, understand all facilities and have any questions answered.

Within 300 m there is a large playing and football field plus a jetty that is highly appreciated by children.

The area is very suited for jogging or just wandering around. There are lovely, sometimes hidden, pathways and viewpoints nearby that one really should check out! You'll find a nice mix of sea, forest and villas.

The surroundings, with several protected nature reserves and unique landscape, are part of what is called "the garden of Sweden".
With a small boat, canoe or kayak one can experience its true charm.
Also great for fishing, one of our guests recently caught a pike nearby and a bucket of herring :)

Thanks to its location in a bay-like area of the archipelago, the sea is relatively calm most of the year. Many of the islands and the beach nearby have picnic facilities. The Right of Public Access (‘Allemansrätt’), or Outdoor Access Rights as it is now known, gives you the right to roam the countryside in Sweden in perfect peace and quiet.

Currently the owner of a small audio production studio, after having worked as telecom systems engineer.

Main interests include: music, electronics, science, architecture & design, gardening, landscaping, good food and hospitality.

I am Dutch, grew up around Rotterdam. Moved in 1997 to Sweden, two years after I met a beautiful girl at a bus stop in Linköping while working there. Well, Monika is now my wife, and with our three kids we are fortunate to live at a lovely spot by the sea :)

For years we have been enjoying the peaceful setting, space, and of course the magnificent views. The Orangery is privately located about 25m from our own home. It's really a dream spot and we are happy to share it with you!
