Beautiful views, clean comfortable rooms, at a very reasonable rate all within walking distance to downtown. If that is what you are searching for, this is the perfect place to stay in beautiful Ketchikan, Alaska.

The guest suites were added in the year 2000, to the home that the family has owned since the 1940s. The superior craftsmanship and architectural style, add visual interest to both the interior and exterior of the home.

The windows in the front of the home frame the view of the ocean and mountains while the rear of the home is surrounded by big trees, ferns and shrubs creating a private park-like atmosphere which entices guests to linger awhile on the way to their rooms.

There are two suites to choose from, the largest room is the Master Suite which is very spacious and has a sitting area, table & chairs and a full bathroom with tub and shower. The Bear Room is also roomy and has a bathroom with a shower. Both suites are equipped with many amenities, including a queen bed, refrigerators, coffee makers, microwaves and coffee & tea. Both suites have a beautiful harbor view, private entries and they both share the enclosed balcony.

This property is a close walk to downtown so no need to rent a car.

Downtown Ketchikan is less than a 10 minute walk down the road. Taxis are available 24 hours a day and a city bus stop is just a few blocks away. So, no need to rent a car.

Check In: Flexible

STANDARD CHECK-IN: arrival time is after 4 p.m. and check out is before 10 a.m. Without a check-in appointment, we cannot guarantee that your Host will be there to greet you and give you a key! Most Vacation Rentals have key boxes. When your balance is paid you will receive the code to the key box to retrieve your key. Make sure that you know the check-in procedure for the unit you have rented.

Payment Policy

RATES & TAX: Some (not all) hosts offer reduced rates during the "off season". Rates listed are for up to 2 people (double occupancy) unless stated otherwise. Rates are subject to change and do not include tax which differs from within the city limits and outside of the city limits. Currently, the tax rate within the city limits is 13.5% and outside the city limits it is 6.5%. A reservation deposit confirms your dates and guarantees no rate increase.

Seasons: Summer or "season" ~ May 1 - September 30
Winter or "off season" ~ October 1 - April 30

RESERVATION DEPOSITS: A 50% deposit from the total reservation is required at the time the reservation is made. Reservations made within the cancellation period require payment in full. We accept VISA or MasterCard only. The deposit is charged to your account on the date of the reservation. PERSONAL CHECKS may be used for the deposit if received within 7 days of making the reservation. A confirmation of your reservation including host's name, address, phone number, date the balance is due, and driving directions are sent to you when your deposit has been received.

BALANCE DUE: Your balance is due by personal check or money order in full on the date the cancellation period starts. Reservations for stays of 1 to 10 days require payment in full 30 days before you arrive. Reservations for stays of 11 to 30 days requires payment in full 60 days before you arrive. Reservations for stays 31 days or more requires payment in full 90 days before arrival. If payment for the balance has not been received by the due date it will be charged to your credit card with a 3% fee.

Cancellation Policy

CANCELLATIONS: A change of a reservation that reduces the number of days or number of rooms originally reserved is considered a cancellation. A refund will be issued minus a $150 or 4% service charge (whichever is higher) for cancellations made before the cancellation deadline. Cancellation deadlines vary depending on length of stay. Please notify us immediately if you have to cancel. After the cancellation deadline NO REFUNDS are given unless we can rebook the cancelled days.

Reservations for stays of 1 to 10 days require a 30 day notice of cancellation.
Reservations for stays of 11 to 30 days require a 60 day notice of cancellation.
Reservations for stays of 31 days or more require a 90 day notice of cancellation.
