This custom log cabin features a loft that sleeps 3 (1 Queen, 1 twin), a second sleeping area in a multipurpose room with 3 twin beds. Total sleeping capacity is 6.

There is a small kitchen to make a quick meal before you are off exploring the area!

This unique cabin is bright and cheery. Plenty of room to relax, watch a movie, read, or enjoy the "secret" multipurpose room to play games, do a puzzle, or talk about your day! This cabin is truly a one of a kind for your Alaskan getaway!

Amazing location - 3 miles from the Kenai river, 4 miles from the Cook Inlet, 5 minutes from Soldotna or Kenai shopping and restaurants!

There are 2 Unique and beautiful vacation homes on this property, so if you are looking for a place for a larger group, family reunion, friends, ask about booking them together! I can help you find a time when both are available!

Guests will have access to the laundry area in between the second house (Main house) and garage. The laundry area is shared with guest in the Main house, and from time to time perhaps the housekeeper should she be readying a home for new guests. There is also a garage with a freezer to stow you prepackaged fish until you leave, and keep your fishing gear until you need it.

A gas grill is available to both houses, as well as a fire pit, and outdoor seating.

I am available by phone or text. I usually check in within 24 hours of arrival and during longer stays I will check in again. I am always happy to help or answer questions!

Neighbors are present, but not too close. Everyone is on an acre to 2 acre property. This area is close to both the Kenai river and Cook Inlet. It is what the locals call "K beach"! You are right off the main road to Homer!

Car is really a necessity!

This is a two vacation rental home property, so there may be other guests there when you are. Both homes are separate and have separate entrances.

Please be aware that there are security cameras on the exterior front and back of the home to protect the home when it is vacant. No cameras are located inside the home, so the cameras can only see what your neighbor can see.

Moose frequent the property, so be on the lookout.

TV is available through wifi Amazon fire stick. You will need to sign on to your account. There is also a DVD player and a small dvd library for you to choose from! No cable or satellite TV is available.

This is a residential area, so Quiet time is observed from 11 pm to 7 am.

Sleeping Configuration

Loft

1 queen bed, 1 single bed

Loft sleeping has a queen bed, and 1 twin bed. There is a small closet up there to put your suitcases, and small shelving for your personal items, and a small 3 drawer dresser. So comfy and cozy!

Multipurpose room

3 single beds

This is everyone's favorite room! First of all, it is "hidden". It requires the turn of a small antler piece on the top of the kitchen pantry to open the door to this room! See the pictures! There are two twin beds in this awesome room, and a long counter with stools for laptops, games, puzzles, etc. There is also a folding table and chairs available for more game playing, or just talking over a cup of coffee.

Bathroom

Bathroom has a generous sized shower, sink and toilet. Toilet paper and towels are provided for your stay. There is a soap/shampoo/bodywash dispenser in the shower, so you can leave that stuff at home if desired! There is also a hairdryer in the bathroom.

Absolutely no smoking or vaping inside the homes or on the decks. There is a designated smoking area with receptacles for butts in the front yard. If smoking occurs in the home, you will forfeit your entire deposit. If butts are found thrown anywhere except the receptacles provided, you will be charged and extra cleaning fee!

Parking Included

Parking is ample, and all guests need to park in the driveway so as to not block the view of the front yard for all guests on the property.

We are centrally located on the Kenai Peninsula, close to shopping, fishing, and touring

Getting around

A car is a necessity. Renting in Anchorage and driving down is much cheaper than renting in Kenai. There is not much public transit, however there are taxis and Uber. I am also hearing good things about Turo for a car rental possibility.

Policies and Rules

Check In: 4PM - Flexible

Entrance is a keypad lock. I will send you the code a few days before arrival. You will also have this code on the stone entrance between the main house and the garage, giving you access to the laundry area, wine cooler and garage. There is a red binder in the home that has all the house information, including wifi code, house rules, check out instructions, and local activities and restaurants. I try to accommodate early check in or late check out when possible, but if I have new guests coming in same day, that isn't possible.

No pets

We do not accept pets, and please do not allow local family and friends bring their pets to the property.

Minimum age limit for renters: 25

Age to book must be at least 25 years old. Photo ID will be required on initial booking. No minors are to be left alone on the property without someone over the age of 25 at any time.

Maximum occupancy: 6

There is no exceeding the occupancy. No unregistered guests are to stay over night, and must leave by 11 pm, and all must be respectful of other registered guests on the property.

Quiet time from 10 pm to 8 am.
- Alaska tradition is shoes off in the house. We follow that tradition, and there are boot trays provided at the doorways for you.
- No smoking or vaping inside or on decks, there is designated smoking areas set up outside. Please dispose of cigarette butts in provided containers. Smoking or vaping inside the house will result in forfeiture of you deposit. Any butts found not disposed of in the provided containers will result in an excessive cleaning fee.
- No fish cutting or processing of any kind on the property. Please use your guides services, or the public cleaning tables by the river. You may however store your packaged fish in the garage freezer until you leave.
- All fishing gear is to be stowed in the garage, in your vehicle or outside. No gear in the house.
- There are designated times for the laundry facility in order to provide privacy and quiet to the other vacation home that shares it.
- House has Wifi, but no cable or satellite TV. We have provided an Amazon Fire stick so that you can sign into your account for your Netflix or Amazon Prime. There is also a DVD player available with a limited DVD library in the laundry area.

Payment Policy

Payment via check or Square Invoice. We must receive 50% payment, the completed rental agreement and copy of photo ID prior to confirm the reservation. Remaining 50% and security deposit due 30 days prior to check-in date.

Refundable Damage Deposit

A refundable damage deposit is held until housekeeping has verified that there has been no excessive cleaning required, damage or theft. A refund will be issued back to your method of payment within 4 days after departure, cards can take 5 to 7 days to show up on your account.

I prefer a damage deposit be collected as a check that can be either returned to you or shredded upon our inspection and your approval.

Cancellation Policy

100% booking deposit refundable when cancelled more than 30 days prior to check-in date.

50% booking deposit refundable when cancelled more than 14 days prior to check-in date.

No refund within 14 days of arrival. Cleaning fee and security deposit will be returned.
