Easton is a multi-cultural part of inner city Bristol with its own little high street. It's about a 25 minute walk into the City Centre. Known for it's strong sense of community, wide variety of cafes, shops and restaurants from Brazilian to Scandanavian and Indian to Afro-Carribbean and African, vibrant music scene and lovely open spaces.
Four buses including two night buses just a few minutes walk away, Train station to local stations, Bath and Wales. A 25 minute walk to the City Centre (Cabot Circus). The Bristol/Bath Railway line provides a great walking/cycle route into the City Centre or into Bath. The M32 motorway is about five minutes drive away linking to the M5.
Like many inner city areas, Easton can be rather scruffy around the edges. It makes up for it with its great transport links (bus and train), amazing local cafes, shops and restaurants, lovely open spaces and it's friendly multi-cultural community.
I bought my Victorian house last summer and spent four months doing up the house and garden. It is still a work in progress :) Although I have installed a double shower and new Victorian style radiator, I still have some work to do to the bathroom and the kitchen.
IF YOU ARE BRINGING A CHILD
Please note there are steep stairs, a log fire, and oven in the open plan kitchen plus a small pond and steps in the garden, so please supervise your child and don't leave them out in the garden alone.
