Enjoy incredible slope views of Bear Mountain Resort less than a 5 minute walk from the house. This three bedroom 1.5 bath house at the base of Bear Mountain, overlooks the first tee of the golf course, and offers some of the best mountain and ski slope views in town!

Walk out your front door and you are just steps away from the ski lift, golf course, and within a few blocks of some of the best hiking and mountain biking trails in California, as well as the new Big Bear Zoo.

Enjoy a comfortable and relaxing stay at this 3 bedroom mountain retreat offering a fully stocked kitchen, WIFI, smart TV, fireplace, balcony with slope views, toys for kids, books, board games and puzzles.

The first floor is the game room (foosball, darts, air hockey table), laundry room, and kids room with bunk beds. Second floor has the living room, kitchen, master with king bed and second bedroom with queen bed.

Getting around

There is a free shuttle stop around the corner on Goldmine Drive that can take you to town, Snow Summit, Vons/Stater Bros, the lake, all of which are within 5-10 minute car ride. You can also access the lower fern trail from Club View drive which can take you into town by foot or mountain bike.

The city of Big Bear Lake has a law requiring all vacation rental guests to be checked and rental agreements signed in person. Therefore, it is very important that you arrive between 4pm and 9pm on your arrival day. The office is located at 41036 Big Bear Lake Blvd, conveniently in the village area on the main strip. Hours of operation: Office: Monday-Friday (10:00 am to 6:00 pm). On Call: Monday-Friday (6:00 pm to 9:00 pm). On Call: Saturday-Sunday (12:00 pm to 5:00 pm) PLEASE CALL 909-415-1009 ONE HOUR BEFORE ARRIVAL Please bring a current ID for the person booking the reservation for verification of age (over 25 years old) and identity. If you feel you will be arriving later than 9pm, please call us ASAP at 858-876-7452 to make other arrangements.

Additional House Rules

Authorized use and guests: The Premises are for the sole use as a personal short-term residence by no more than the county specified occupancy limit for your specific rental (6 guests, 2 cars). If there are more than 6 guests in the home they will be asked to leave, no refunds given and you will forfeit your security deposit. Total number of guests must be disclosed at time of booking. Any additional undisclosed guests will result in a $200 per person per night over-occupancy fee and Guest will face immediate eviction and loss of security deposit.

Must be 25 years old or older to book and be able to verify age with government issued ID.

Parking: Unfortunately, there is NO street parking allowed anywhere in Big Bear when there is snow on the ground, per city laws. You will get a ticket, or be towed. (Guests are responsible for paying their own fines, towing, storage and other fees if they violate the City of Big Bear Lake parking laws.) The number of vehicles allowed is set by the county and may not exceed that amount. PLEASE READ: THE CITY IS VERY STRICT ABOUT THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF OCCUPANTS IN THE HOME AND NUMBER OF VEHICLES ON THE PROPERTY. IF WE FIND MORE OCCUPANTS OR VEHICLES THAN IS ALLOWED BY THE COUNTY THEY WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE AND VEHICLES REMOVED (6 guests, 2 cars). Please park in the alcove next to the stairs or by the cement wall running parallel to Moonridge Road, do not park anywhere else.

Pets are not permitted. If an unauthorized pet is found in the home there will be an additional fee of $250 and the pet will need to leave the property. If it’s a service dog, owner must clean up dog’s waste left on the grounds surrounding the property and an additional $100 pet cleaning fee will be applied.

Refunds: Refunds will not be given due to snow, inclement weather or the ski resorts conditions. Natural Disasters or inability to travel due to natural disasters or other extreme government enforced situations will be given a full refund with documentation.

Holding over: Check out is at 10:00 am. Occupant agrees there shall be no holding over or late departure without prior approval from management. A late checkout is subject to extra rental charges at the rate of $100/hour after a grace period of 30 minutes. Guests may arrange for extra nights in advance to avoid any late checkout fees. Extra nights are charged at the daily rate and may be granted if available. Any unauthorized holding over by Occupant past 12:00pm on the day of check out shall be subject to 1 and 1/2 times the daily prorated rent plus any additional damages incurred including, but not limited to, the cost of alternative housing for guests displaced by Occupant’s holding over.

Late Check-Outs/Early Check-Ins: Management will do their best to provide Occupant’s preferred check-in or check-out time. This may not be possible during busy holiday times or Winter/Summer or if there is another Occupant checking in or out that day.

Cleaning: Premises will be delivered to the guest in a professionally cleaned condition. Upon check-out the guest will follow all check-out instructions found in the House Manual. If the guest does not follow check-out instructions, they may be subject to additional cleaning fees.

TRASH AND RECYCLING: Per the City of Big Bear Lake municipal code, guests are responsible for the disposal of their own trash and recycling. Please, never leave trash outside as it will attract bears and other animals.

No Smoking or Drugs Allowed: No smoking is allowed on the premises; this includes but is not limited to; marijuana, cigarettes, cigars or any other drug legal or not. If smoking does occur on the premises, Occupant is responsible for all damage caused by smoking including, but not limited to, stains, burns, odors or removal of debris which will be taken out of the security deposit. Occupant and Authorized Guests, and all others may be required to immediately leave the premises, or be removed from the premises. IF WE SMELL SMOKE IN THE HOME FROM ANY OF THE ABOVE LISTED ITEMS THERE WILL BE A MINIMUM $300 FEE.

WEATHER ADVISORY: YOU MUST CARRY CHAINS WITH TENSIONERS FOR YOUR SPECIFIC VEHICLE AND TIRE SIZE DURING THE WINTER MONTHS OR DURING ANY POSSIBILITY OF SNOW. CalTrans WILL HAVE CHAIN CHECKS AND MAY NOT ALLOW ENTRY ON MOUNTAIN WITHOUT THEM. THERE ARE NO REFUNDS DUE TO ROAD CONDITIONS. We do not refund due to road conditions/closures caused by storms or snow.

Our home is located in the mountains where snow storms and high winds are common which can disrupt power for long periods of time, it is rare but it can happen and you should always be prepared when traveling in the mountains with food, water and flash lights as we do not refund for loss of power unless it is anticipated to be out for more than 24hrs, in which case you will be credited for balance of time less cleaning, taxes and fees.

Quiet Hours: Guests are required to abide by county quiet hours, Sunday through Thursday 9 pm to 8 am and Friday to Saturday 10 pm to 8 am. Please keep all music and noise inside during this time and at a respectable volume. If there are any noise complaints filed you will be asked to leave the premises, no refunds given and you will lose your security deposit.

Ski and snowboard equipment: Gear may be stored in the laundry room; whereas sleds, and bikes should all be stored in the locked storage space below the house, please do not bring these items inside the house.

Additional Notes

While there are no dogs allowed on the property, the property owners dog does spend time in the home. While everything is thoroughly cleaned, there are likely residual dog hairs embedded in the carpet and furniture, so please be advised if someone in your party is allergic to dogs.

There are 2 sets of stairs leading up to the home, and a set of steep interior stairs. We do provide a baby gate for use.

Video and recording devices are located on the outside of the property. Cameras do not look into the home.

Refundable Damage Deposit
Once the guest checks out and there were no issues during the stay and the cleaning staff doesn't report any damage within a couple days then there are no funds withheld.
Cancellation Policy
Full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking, if the check-in date is at least 14 days away. 50% refund for cancellations made at least 7 days before check-in. No refunds for cancellations made within 7 days of check-in.
