Beachfront Casa Redonda is the perfect place for a family reunion, group vacation, special event — you name it! There is a fabulous view of the Barrier Reef from nearly every room of this 6,300 square foot villa (585 m²). The two-level configuration of the home lends itself to privacy within a group; up to 16 guests total can be accommodated in the 8 bedrooms (& 5 baths). Located 3.5 miles south of San Pedro, you'll have lots of peace & quiet, yet still have easy access to town.

You’ll find a fully equipped kitchen and spacious living/dining area “great room” on each level in addition to outdoor dining and relaxing areas; each kitchen has a stainless steel oven/stove, a large refrigerator with ice maker, a microwave (among other smaller kitchen appliances), and a dishwasher. With eight bedrooms and five full baths (one king bed, six queens, and two twins which can be made into a king), your group will be quite comfortable! Every bedroom in the villa plus the lower level great room has a mini-split AC unit and ceiling fans; the upper level living/dining area has wonderful circulation with ceiling fans plus doors and windows.

Entering the home through the ground floor sliding glass doors leads you into the first roomy “great room” which combines living/dining area with the full kitchen just beyond. The spacious area has options for table dining for eight as well as seating at two bar/breakfast areas. The large “L” couch is great for relaxing, socializing, and watching TV.

The ground floor has a total of four bedrooms and two baths, with two bedrooms and a full bath on either side of the living/dining area. Each bedroom has a four poster queen bed with sheer curtains and colorful Mexican tiled head- and footboards! The two full baths each have a stall shower and vibrant Mexican tiling.

Heading up the outdoor stairway, you come to the 1800 square foot (167 m²) veranda! There is a shaded breakfast area, a covered bar area with multicolor tiling, and still plenty of space for an open air dining table for up to eight and several lounge chairs.

From the beautiful veranda, head in to your second spacious “great room” with kitchen, dining & living areas all under a gorgeous gabled ceiling of native Belizean woods. The large windows & glass doors allow beautiful views of the sea while cooking, dining and relaxing. This living area has three large sofas which make for easy socializing, plus there is an entertainment center in a built-in armoire when you want to relax in front of your favorite movie or show. The dining table comfortably seats eight.

The gourmet kitchen has a central island with bar seating area for three plus the oven/stove and an additional sink. Enjoy beautiful touches such as the granite counter tops and custom-made mahogany wood cabinets.

The balcony that encircles the house has multiple access points, including via three of the four bedrooms, plus it has a hot tub under a palapa — great for relaxing!

The master bedroom has a king bed and en suite full bath with stall shower and separate tub. There is a large window plus a sliding glass door that allow panoramic views of the sea as well as balcony access.

The second and third bedrooms each have queen beds and beautiful original wall murals done by a local artist. Each of these rooms has a sliding glass door to the balcony. Between these two bedrooms is a “Jack & Jill” double sink area (with an entry from each bedroom) and a separate toilet and tub/shower room.

The fourth bedroom is the smallest, but still plenty spacious with the closet area being just outside the bedroom itself in a private corridor. Guests in this bedroom have the option of two twin beds or a king, and would use the full bath (with shower tub) just off the living room.

Your private pool is 37 x 18 feet (11.25 x 5.5 meters) with the deepest part 6.5 feet (2 meters) and it has an infinity edge which faces the sea. You’ll have plenty of space for relaxing on the many cushioned lounge chairs on the two pool decks, plus of course the nearby hammocks! You won’t be short of fabulous views while swimming, eating and relaxing here.

The 320 foot (97.5 meter) long pier is shared with our next door neighbors at Casa de Lisa. Swimming, snorkeling & fishing off the pier is quite popular, where the water at the deepest is ~8-10 feet (2.5-3 meters); the palapa at the end of the pier keeps you cool in the shade. Any tour operator will pick you up and drop you off for excursions at this pier.

The area is quiet & peaceful (quiet time 10 pm) with a few other houses and condo buildings in the beachfront area. But Casa Redonda is separated by thick palm trees with its neighbor to the south; shares a 'driveway' and pier with Casa de Lisa next door to the north; and to the north of Casa de Lisa there is an expanse of vegetation.

When you want to venture out of “seclusion” from your beach home, there is a Suya Tours office plus Stax Sunset Lounge and Cafe a 3 minute walk away. A half mile north (on the way to town) is the beachfront “Nest Grill” at Pelican Reef, and a half mile beyond that are the Black Orchid Restaurant and the Lone Star Grill. Marin’s mini-mart is not far from these restaurants, and of course there are many other grocery shopping and dining options on the way to and in town.

Just 1.5 miles south of the villa is the small Marco Gonzalez Maya site.

The island of Ambergris Caye, “La Isla Bonita”, is a popular tourist destination. You can get here from the mainland either via an 18 minute flight (US$158*/person round trip to/from BZE) or a 90 minute boat trip (chartered water taxi: US$140*/person/person round trip based on minimum 6 passengers; scheduled water taxi: US$38*/person round trip).

Most people rent golf carts when visiting Ambergris Caye (it’s not possible to rent a car). We can arrange your golf cart rental for you. Rental costs depend on the cart size and time of year but start at about US$300*/week.

There are 4 bikes available; it’s a ~25 minute bike ride into town.

Cabs are also readily available (US$15* fare to or from town).

The trip to & from town can be a fun adventure; remember that roads in Belize and on the island are not what you might be used to, as the route involves hard sand packed road as well as road made of cobbled pavers with several speed bumps en route. (The road is paved in town and up until you are 2 miles south of town; from then on it is hard packed sand.) But who needs to go fast when you’re on La Isla Bonita?
