The street lies close to Cambridge Science Park and the Milton Road retail corridor; the wider area includes council and private housing, small green spaces and quick access to the Guided Busway and cycle routes into the city.

Walking: local shops, bus stops and parks are within a few minutes’ walk. Cycling: very bike-friendly — flat terrain and direct cycle routes to the city centre and Science Park (typical ride to central Cambridge ~15–20 minutes). Bus: frequent Stagecoach/Whippet services and Guided Busway stops nearby (routes serving the Science Park, Cambridge North and central Cambridge). Train: Cambridge North station (about 2 km / ~10–15 minutes by bus or 20–30 minutes walk) and Cambridge main station (city centre, ~2.5–3 km) provide regional and national rail links.
