Getting around

Keep in mind these are winding mountain roads. Many of the best attractions are spread out. The park is gorgeous but timely to navigate for first time flat-landers. There is no Cell Service once you're in the park so be prepared with physical/offline maps or screen shots. There are no cabins inside the park other than the ones you may pass on certain hikes that are 100 years old and not inhabitable. It's a national park since 1934.

GATLINBURG: 16 .5Miles
CADES COVE: 30.4 miles. 1 hour 8 minutes to get there. The loop at Cade's cove is 10.6 miles. Drive it, rent a bike at the start and bike it, or run it. It is closed to cars and open to runners and cyclists Wednesday and Saturday mornings until 10:00am Early May to Late September. Gorgeous views, wildlife, and a pretty good chance you'll see a bear.
CLINGMAN'S DOME: 38 Miles. This will take 3-4 hours round trip. There are plenty of amazing hikes at Newfound Gap on the way up such as Andrews Bald and "The Jump Off" and more hikes in the Clingman's Dome area. Those less adventurous should at the very least check out the observation tower at Clingman's dome.
DOLLYWOOD: 10.8 Miles Easy Roads.
Wears Valley Rd: 7.5 Miles
The Apple Mill Barn: 8.8 Miles
Tanger Outlet Malls: 8.9 Miles
Titanic Museum: 8 Miles
The Island Amusement Park: 7.2 Miles
Rocky Top Harley Davidson: 6.7 Miles
Wear Cove Gap (our secret park entrance): 11.9 Miles

✢ 23 year old minimum age requirement to book the property. ✢ While we love our furry friends, due to guest allergies, they are not allowed in the cabin so everyone who visits can enjoy their stay. Service animals are welcome but must be disclosed upon reservation. ✢ Alcohol is not allowed near the hot tub. You are not allowed to use the hot tub if you have consumed alcohol or you are pregnant. Use the hot tub AT YOUR OWN RISK! ✢ Smoking is not allowed inside the property. ✢ Please keep in mind that we run on septic. So please do not flush ANYTHING that is not toilet paper. ✢ There is a motion activated camera that records audio and video installed by the front door. This is to keep an eye on the property :) ✢ Please keep in mind you will be traveling to the mountains. Wildlife abounds and encounters may occur both outside and possibly inside the home. While we employ regular pest control, be gracious that some bugs may sneak in. Please do your best to keep doors and windows closed at all times. If you encounter a mama bear and her cubs, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO INTERACT OR FEED THEM! Do not leave food outside on the patio or inside your unlocked car. They know how to open doors! Eventually, they will migrate on from the property. ✢ Please help us keep Smoky Mountains beautiful for many generations to enjoy. Be mindful of your trash, usage of the grill and fire pit (ensure that the fire is put out completely after use). ✢ No unauthorized fires. Fires are taken very very seriously here. From November to December 2016 there was a Gatlinburg fire. It burned about 18,000 acres, 2,460 homes were destroyed, 14 deaths, and $2billion in damages. Two juveniles were charged with aggravated arson. Lets be mindful and save nature!
