We live in Charlotte, NC and love our NC mountains and coast. We hike and take several weekend trips duirng the year and prefer to be in less touristy spots. Our favorite places to stay have been airbnb's in the last few years - even as far away as Italy and Costa Rica. Living as the locals do!
