I have yet to even get an inquiry on this site after 2-3 years!

Let’s verify this statement: You can see the month you added your listing when viewing your listing on Houfy. (Scroll down to the bottom) You listed on “this site” Houfy on January 2019 and received 59 views. (1 year & 5 months = 3+ views a month)

We like to be crystal clear on Houfy, no secrets, no untruths and show respect to our members, our guests and the people working hard on creating the Houfy platform! If “this site” is of no help to you, you can easily remove yourself:

Houfy is growing rapidly with many very motivated members who are promoting the book direct/connect direct movement. Your place, your rules.

I do have other listing sites, but wondering what I can do to get eyes on the Houfy site?

We see you listed on Facebook (which is free) and added a homepage there. (Your homepage doesn’t work FYI)

We see you promoting a paid for listing of abc listing site (Isn’t their job to get you inquiries and bookings?) Aren’t you paying them to market your listing? Just like you or your guests are paying Airbnb/VRBO/Etc in the form of “service fees”. Why would you promote a paid for listing site?

You could consider posting your Houfy listing on your Facebook page. (Or adding your Houfy listing as website there..)

Houfy, just like Facebook and Google is FREE and will remain FREE just like Facebook and Google.

My listing here is pretty complete, but beyond FB I don't know where else to promote it and it seems the limited brand awareness is not generating a lot of unique/native visitors as yet? Ideas?

How pretty complete is your listing? Are your pictures “perfect”? Did you research pricing of comparable listings around you? How is your description? Did you create a google listing and connect Houfy there?

Houfy is a market network - combining an advertising platform with a network/publishing platform. Houfy requires members to promote their own listings, guidebooks and stories. Word of mouth, social sharing and direct e-mail campaigns are used by the Houfy members to promote their properties.

You could consider sharing your Houfy listing in local Facebook groups, with your friends and family on instagram etc.

We understand the frustration some owners might have and urge them to carefully review their listing on Houfy and follow the Say Yes to Houfy Facebook group to find out how other members are getting bookings!

Thank you.

Bravo!! I just listed on Houfy and I can completely see the potential. I am excited to see that I can actually embed some of the tools from Houfy into my own website. This is amazing! The key is for the owner to exploit the platform that has been gifted to them for free.... It does require a bit of research and effort on how to do that but the potential is there.

Thank you,

Mary Ann
