AMENITIES: You'll find the beach right outside the front porch, typically a sandy bottom, but we cannot guarantee leaves and other natural debris will not cover the lake floor.  You'll find beach chairs, kayaks, paddle boat, and row boat outside. Paddles, Life Jackets and other lake toys will be in the Sun Porch hanging on hooks or in the gray trunk. Please be respectful and put all items away each night to avoid loss during high winds or storms.  Beach towels will be located

Please do not use the kayaks we have provided at the cottage, if you are interested in this activity, please rent or bring your own kayak.

The Waushara County Historical Society is a tax-exempt, all volunteer organization that operates and maintains the museum in Wautoma, preserving the history, artifacts, archives, and genealogy information of Waushara County. The Museum is located in the old county jail, which was built in 1908. The sheriff and his family lived in the front and prisoners in the back. It includes a school room, bed rooms, kitchen, county store, jail cells, doctors’ room, dispatcher’s office, haunted attic, music room, parlor, war room, research room containing obituary & court case indexes, obituaries, genealogy & area history, 5 online computers & 5 vintage computers, archives containing old court cases, newspapers, photos & glass negatives.
