Driving around England can be a bit of challenge to those used to driving on the right hand side of the road and our Cotswold lanes may be rather narrower than the highways and byways you are used to.  Added to this, being in control of an unfamiliar car with the steering wheel on the right.

In Ilmington – The community shop (staffed by volunteers) on Grump Street. Sited in the old Catholic Church on the Upper Green. Open from 7.30 in the morning. Fresh local vegetables and meat. Fruit, all everyday items. Newspapers etc. Freshly baked croissants every morning. There is a café attached.

The Cotswold Way is an escarpment walk from Bath. It is one of Britan's shorter National Trails, but still one of the best long distance routes in the UK. The Way offers 164km of glorious walking in southwest England. It is a good option for those seeking a challenge without too much length.
