Our professional lives as a well-travelled Hotel Management Consultant (Eleanor) and Sales Manager (Mike) helped us to create what we believe is one of the highest quality villa experiences you could wish for. Having fallen in love with the stunning scenery of the northern Costa Blanca on our very first visit, we soon found the perfect plot of land to build our villa, with the most breathtaking views that we could wish for - and the rest, as they say, is history!

We're so happy to have welcomed guests from all corners of the world to Casa Windlenook, many of whom have returned again and again. We'll be delighted to share our dream villa with you - we're certain you'll love it too!

Days out

There is so much to see and do in the area, for all tastes and cultural interests. You will find a few leaflets and information on places to visit in the sideboard drawer in the Villa, and there is a Tourist Information centre in both Moraira and Javea. But here are just a few of our personal suggestions…

Markets

All neighbourhoods have municipal covered food markets (mercados) open generally 8.30 – 13.30, which are often the best places to buy fresh produce. Daily fish auctions can be a spectacle and take place at Denia (5pm at Les Roques) and Calpe (5pm-7.30pm Mon – Fri) – this one is an electronic fish auction, fast and furious like the stock exchange! Moraira also has a daily 10am fish auction at the entrance to the Marina (opposite the Ifach Restaurant). Additionally, general

Where to eat

The area has so many good restaurants that it would be possible to live here and eat out at a good restaurant every night of the week! That said, there are a few restaurants that we are happy to put forward as very highly recommended for the quality of cuisine, whether local or international, each having been either tried by ourselves (sometimes on a number of occasions!) or highly recommended by friends (and we just haven’t made it there yet!)
